What is energy-ecientconstruction?

Energy-ecient construction ischaracterized by the kind of designtechnology and construction that makes itpossible to gain high comfort of living and lowenergy consumption, which means low cost ofexploitation. This is gained by the reduction

of energy needed for heating and hot water,and the reduction of electrical energy usedfor lightning and ventilation.

What is energy-ecientconstruction?

The reduction of heating energy is gained bythe usage of the right insulation of the wholebuilding, which means the insulation of walls,slab roofs, foundations, cellar ceilings andoors, window frames with high insulationparameters, elimination and avoidance of all

thermal bridges, the preservation of the hightightness and regaining of the heat thatescapes the building either with the heatedair through ventilation, or through wastewater

sewerage.

Thermomodernisation stands for allchanges in the structure of a building and theheating system that lead to the reduction ofheat loss.

The correct energy audit of a building iscrucial in any successful thermomodernisation

investment.'n energy audit is an analysis of the givenstate of energy ows and evaluation ofpossible savings, but also the choice of optimaltechnical solutions allowing for the reduction ofenergy loss.

carried out. The works were -nanced by owners-nancial resources and bank loans withthermomodernisation bene-t.

The thermomodernisation includedstyrofoam insulation of external walls, slabroofs insulation, the replacement ofwindow and door frames in staircases and

cellars.

7urthermore, in the years 3468$3469 thecentral heating modernisation of twobuildings was done!

$ old gas boilers were replaced forcondensing boilers with high e%ciency,weather compensations and thermostatic

valves in staircases and ats wereinstalled.

Thanks to the renovations the heatingcosts were reduced by approx. 94:.
