What is Informa2on Governance? § Informa2on Governance (IG): is the process by which organizaCons
enforce desirable behavior in the creaCon, use, archiving and disposiCon of corporate informaCon. The goal of informaCon governance is to ensure compliance with laws and regulaCons, miCgate risks and protect the confidenCality of sensiCve company and customer data 1.
§ InformaCon governance also helps to ensure that organizaCons handle informaCon in the most economical way, thereby increasing its value.
