Since creating my twitter account I have realized just how useful of a tool it can be for educators. It allows me to follow experienced teachers as well as fellow pre service teachers. Through twitter I am able to have access to new links and ideas that these educators post on a daily basis.
As of right now ,my twitter account is still extremely young. But so far the majority of the people I follow are either pre service teachers or guest speakers that we have had so far over the course of edit 202. Each week I continue to follow new people and I hope as I move forward I hope to add more educators specialized in elementary education or special needs.
Through twitter I have had the opportunity to share my own thoughts, ideas and opinions of certain subjects. Through the use of hash tags I am able to make my thoughts on a certain topic easily accessible to others who are also interested in that particular topic.
Currently I have been most active in conversations amongst those in my edit class , pre service teachers and those who share my minor in special education. The hash tags I’ve used to partake in these discussions are #edit202 #PTEd and #specialED
