PROGRAM OUTCOMES - CLASS IIUpon successful completion of this program, graduates have reliably demonstrated the following learning outcomes:• Describe the interrelationships of building systems, including heating, cooling, air handling, electrical, and water treatment systems, in complex buildings• Describe the components of heating, cooling, air handling, electrical, water treatment, and control systems in complex buildings• Describe the safe operation of heating, cooling, air handling, electrical, water treatment, and control systems in complex buildings• Describe the maintenance of heating, cooling, air handling, electrical, water treatment, and control systems in complex buildings
PROGRAM OUTCOMES - CLASS IUpon successful completion of this program, graduates have reliably demonstrated the following learning outcomes:• Recommend energy efficient practices based on analyses of energy use in heating, cooling, air handling, lighting, and electrical systems within complex buildings• Apply theory and skills from Building Environmental Systems Class II courses to a specialty area such as air systems design, hospital building systems, or pipe systems design
CAREER OPPORTUNITIESGraduates from the certificate program may find employment in entry level positions in:• Complexes and recreational facilities• Hospitals• Office buildings • Schools• Shopping malls
These certificates are recognized by the Toronto Building Managers and Operators Association (TBMOA). The Operator Class I certificate is recognized by the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA). A Class II certificate will be awarded to students who successfully complete the seven core subjects.A Class I certificate will be awarded to students with a Class II certificate who successfully complete one specialty subject and the mandatory course - Energy Efficiency in Large Buildings.
