How to build a simple video using YouTube

Start at youtube.com/editor

First, in the project name area, give your new video a name

In the Title slide tab, choose a slide. Then drag and drop it to the editor area.

You can now edit and format the slide. Choose the font, size, colour etc.

Click into a blank section, to see the tabs again

This time, we’re going to drag and drop a transition

The transition is in place.

Clicking into the blank section again, we can click into videos and drag and drop a video

Clicking into the blank section again, we can click into videos and drag and drop a video.

You can add filters to your videos

By ticking “Enable text”, you can add text to the video

You can format your text

In audio, you can adjust the sound quality

To finish our basic video, I’ve added another transition and title slide

Now, click into the first slide, and drag the right margin to increase how long you see the slide for

You can see the timings below

When you’re finished, click on [Create video]
