ASXbegins with a wide tread and long wheelbase for a solid foundation, with theMacPherson strut front and multi-link rear suspensions to carry you smoothly overany bumps the road may throw your way. The shock absorbers and stabilisers havebeen precision tuned for sporty performance, ensuring superior cornering andsure-footed stability. Add in a direct and smooth steering feel to better match yourmovements, and driving ASX becomes an experience in total command of the road.

HILL START ASSIST (HSA)

HSA makes it easy to start off on a steepuphill slope by preventing the vehiclefrom rolling backward. When a gradient isdetected, it automatically maintains thebraking force until the accelerator is applied.

ACTIVE STABILITY CONTROL (ASC)

The Active Stability Control system uses onboard sensors to analyse the vehicles motion and identifylateral wheel slippage. By governing engine output and applying braking power to the appropriate wheels,ASC helps to maintain stability and control.

LATERAL FRONT-WHEEL SLIPPAGE

Braking force is applied to the inner rear wheel toprevent front-end drift.

LATERAL REAR-WHEEL SLIPPAGE

Braking force is applied to the outer front wheel toprevent spin-out.

ALUMINIUM BLOCK ENGINE

SEATBELTS WITH PRETENSIONERS

AND FORCE LIMITERS

The drivers and front passengers seatbeltsare available with pre-tensioners that reelin to secure the occupant in the initialmoments of a collision, and force limitersthat gently release the occupant to reducethe risk of injury.

DUAL AIRBAGS

Accident can happen even when driving safely, the ASX offers the protection of front SRSairbags for both driver and front passenger. Used together with the 3-point ELRseatbelts, they provide an excellent degree of collision safety.

ABS WITH EBD

EBD electronically adjusts braking forcebetween front and rear axles to helpreduce stopping distance, while ABShelps prevent individual wheels fromlocking up under hard braking.

HIGH HIP POINT

Once behind the wheel, youll find that even withits aerodynamic form, ASX gives you asurprisingly elevated seat position. Combinedwith the sloping hood design, this provides abetter view of the road for easier maneuvering andgreater safety. The raised hip point also allows forsmoother entrances and exits, and makes evenlong journeys more comfortable.

FULL-FLAT REAR SEAT / 60:40 SPLIT FOLDABLE SEATBACK

To carry even larger items, the rear seats can be folded down completely flat to create an expansive cargo space.The 60:40 split rear seat can also be partially folded down, giving you the room to carry bicycles or otherextra-long items, while still having rear seating ava ilable.

ADJUSTABLE RETURN SEATBACK

The rear seats can be returned upright with a singleaction. (1) Pulling up the seatback slowly brings itfully upright, (2) while pulling up quickly brings itto a reclined position.

ARMREST-THROUGH LID

The armrest-through lid lets you conveniently stowlong items and still have seating for four.
