    Community Engagement

    Framework All community engagement interventions by DLSU are anchored on a social

    reality or a combination thereof (social disintegration, poverty andecological degradation);

    Contextualization of DLSU CE interventions is guided by the option for thepoor lens;

    DLSU CE process should ideally follow the suggested progression phasesfrom awareness and partnership building to actual community engagementand then to the personal and structural transformation.

    All output of CE interventions should be leading towards the followingvision of society: empowered, sustainable and disaster resilientcommunities; socially aware and active Lasallians; and good governance;

    Specific CE interventions should be geared towards a specific vision ofsociety and must eventually contribute to addressing the concerns related

    to the given social reality.
