British Values
*What does it mean to be British?
? OR
?
*We promote these in our Academy. These are
fundamental ‘human values’.
These are our Fundamental British values:*Democracy
*The rule of law *Individual liberty
*Mutual respect and tolerance of those with different faiths and beliefs
The Bully Just because you’re small and he’s tall. doesn’t mean he’s above us all. Just because he calls you gay. Doesn’t mean you have to run away. Get out of bed, take off the mask. Even though it’s a massive task. Stand up to him and look in his eyes. Don’t be scared, don’t be shy. Say these words loud and clear. “STOP BULLYING ME NOW, I’M TELLING YOU HERE!”
Look Outside
Look outside, see the trees, Watch the flowers in the breeze Things won’t be like this in a year or two, If polluting is all we do. Seize the night, seize the day, Things won’t always be this way. Thousands of people are dying In the night, the children crying. Let’s stop the war, Our people are sore, The world can’t help itself Who cares about your wealth Help me to help you Show the world what you can do.
*Please watch the following video….(show Racism the red card)
*This shows why some people have racist views …..

*BRITISH VALUES BY TOMMY, NATHAN, TOM & DYLAN
*•Democracy.*•The rule of law.*•Individual liberty.*•Mutual respect and tolerance of those with
different faiths and beliefs and for those without faith
* WHAT “BRITISH VALUES” MEANS
*We as students find it interesting learning about how different cultures live and work throughout the world and within our country. *Respect is for everyone, it doesn’t matter who
you are or what you believe in. *It doesn’t matter what your background is, you
are an individual, accept other peoples beliefs.* Show that you know right from wrong, believe in
yourself and remember together we are stronger and together we achieve more.
*OUR THOUGHTS…
*Mr Hurren presents….(Acle Academy students giving their views on what British Values means to them…….
WHAT DO YOU SAY????
Acle Academy says….‘Zero tolerance to racism, homophobia and bullying!’
We will ask your tutor to share this
with us ……
*Now go back to your tutor group and think with your tutor and form group about at least one action that you as Acle Academy students can do to demonstrate British Values.
