During a system wide generator maintenance RFP, savings upwards of $150,000 were able to be attained based off a spend of roughtly $621,000. Currently in the process of bidding the outsourced security for hospitals located in Pittsburgh/Oakland/Shadyside as well as UPMC Hamot. Overall spend is around $6 million annually, and anticipated savings are expected to be 20%. Uninterrupted power source maintenance is currently at $1.7 million annually among data centers and hospitals – current savings results are expected to be 20%. Recently constructed a new contract template to be used among all ambulatory services system wide. Responsible for creating cross functional committees during RFP processes to make sure all departments of UPMC have a fair say when contracting vendors. Provide sourcing support to buying personnel as to who to buy from and what contractual obligations UPMC must adhere to. Buyer I – Pittsburgh, PA 7/2013 to 8/2014 Responsible for purchasing IT and consulting products and services to for various UPMC subsidiaries, correcting invoicing issues, setting up and executing contracts with vendors, and finding cost savings with every purchase. Saved $339,559 during 2013. Executed numerous consulting agreements with the UPMC Health Plan and other subsidiaries within UPMC including CCBH, and SBI. Average First Time Match Rate for purchase orders – 90%. Routinely clear at least 75% of match exceptions. Work closely with Supply Chain Analysts and Sourcing Agents with setting up Master Service Agreements with vendors. Make sure due diligence is completed with every vendor including executing Business Associate Agreements, and facilitating Third Party Security Audits.
