BREAK THE BARRIERS PROGRAM FOCUS HAITI Empowering people and communities

description

The“Break the Barriers” operates to support and promote projects that help the weaker classes of the population in Italy and in Developing Countries, especially Haiti, in which conditions of poverty, illnesses, malnutrition and complex social situations nullify or reduce their expectations of life. The Foundation aims at promoting intervention in favour of health, education and social integration and wants to do so by measuring, as far as possible, the effects of its intervention with the objective of constant improvement.

Why a Foundation?“It is for faith in love and in justice that we are called upon to build a better world than the one we have found, called upon to give back to the world all of the good that we have received”: with the words of our founder, with this belief the Andrea Bocelli Foundation intends to work because of our interventions, individuals and communities can express themselves

to the utmost of their possibilities, exceeding their own limits. Uniting strength is the winning slogan of such an enthralling project: being able to provide our neighbours with concrete help, conquering the priceless privilege of being useful, in the certainty of the quality of each form of intervention.

Vision“I strongly believe that love does justice. And it is for this simple reason that we are all responsible for building a better world. Since love energizes faith, the opposite must also be true.

The amazing lives we have been gifted, offers us the privilege, opportunity, and responsibility to give the less fortunate a better future and opportunities.” Andrea Bocelli.

MissionThe Andrea Bocelli Foundation was created to help people in need due to illness, poverty and social exclusion by promoting and supporting national and international projects that support the overcoming of these barriers and

full self-expression.The Foundation works to ensure that each person and each community can express themselves to the best of its abilities beyond their limits.

Our values:the 5 C’s

“The city is a common home - in which all the elements that compose it are organically linked; as the workshop is an organic element of the city, so it is the cathedral, school, hospital. All part of this common home. Thus, there is a unique pastry, a unique yeast, a unique responsibility that is connected to the common duties. “

Challenges

Break the Barriers

The Challenges program operates within the area of scientific and technological research and social innovation, accepting major challenges in terms of both investments and results to be achieved in the willingness to allow anyone who experiences economic or social difficulties to express themselves.

The Break the Barriers Program stems from the desire to support projects contributing to breaking down barriers, be they economic or cultural, in Italy and in Developing Countries. For the Andrea Bocelli Foundation, breaking down a barrier means to be successful in the desire to offer every human being freedom and dignity to live the life they deserve.Give people the ability to provide for themselves by creating opportunities for redemption in terms of economic and social independence by acting responsibly on real needs and activating people’s unexpressed energy.
