Competition: MTV is calling on aspiring
film talents to co- direct Justin Bieber’s
next music video with Ray Kay.

London, UK- MTV is holding an online competition starting February 13th
2012, giving one aspiring talented young filmmaker, between 18-24, an
opportunity of a lifetime. The winner will collaborate with the legendary Ray
Kay on the making of the world pop-sensation Justin Bieber’s next music
video, which is set to premier on the 19th of June 2012, the same day as his
long awaited album release of ‘Believe’.
The challenge is to create a one-minute music video of a favorite Justin
Bieber track.
To enter, simply upload and submit the film on MTV’s UK YouTube channel:
www.youtube.com/MTVUKaspiringtalent. The last day of entry is on the 2
March 2012 11.59 PM.
The contestants’ videos will then be awarded points for every view through
social media including likes, comments and subscribers that the application
video receives on YouTube. This part of the competition runs through the 3rd
of April 11.59 PM.
The directors of the top four music videos will then be judged by a panel of
experts, consisting of: Ray Kay, Scooter Braun, MTV UK hosts Joel Dommett
and Laure Whittmore. The music videos will be judged on specific criteria
including creativity, expression and entertainment value.
The winner of the completion will earn himself or herself an all expenses paid
trip to California, to collaborate with Ray Kay himself. The winner’s incredible
and thrilling journey as an aspiring director will be documented and then later
aired on MTV’s program Making The Video.
Justin Bieber started his professional career on YouTube, and he is known for
getting million of views on his videos on a daily basis. Justin Bieber is
currently holding the World Guinness record for the most watched video on
YouTube with his ‘Baby’ video receiving over 750 million views in 2010.

new cigarette identity called Marlboro Freedom especially for the UK market on 12th March
2012. Freedom is a premium priced product designed along the guidelines where ‘taste meets
luxury’, and is Marlboro’s first new cigarette identity since 2009. !
The UK will be a trial market prior to a global roll-out and the aim of Marlboro Freedom is to
capture a greater market share from smokers of brands such as Silk Cut and Benson &
Hedges.
The new cigarette identity carries a recommended retail price of £7.15 for a pack of 20 and
£3.85 for a pack of 10.
Marlboro has developed a unique design for Marlboro Freedom. The cigarette packaging is
coated with a brushed silver film and a unique flip-top lid design, similar to a chrome cigarette
lighter, adding a touch of luxury to the packaging for the world-leading brand. The future

London, Wednesday 14th March 2012, HMV is going back to its heritage by embracing the
physical product market and ticketing business through its new sales strategy, “My HMV. My
Music.” HMV is transforming its in-store concept by becoming more of a hosting hub for music,
offering recording facilities, music lessons, artist management and niche gigs, as well as being
on the forefront of promoting and supporting new releases and getting customers closer to the
music they love.

The new HMV in-store concept will empower potential artists and bands to access the UK music
industry by using HMV as their distributor. HMV will enable artists to record their songs, publish
and sell their records in the HMV store.
HMV’s in-store concept will also be offering lessons to everyone with an interest in music.
Covering subjects including recording, songwriting, production, software, mixing, engineering
and also areas like music promotion and marketing.
HMV‘s artist management division, SuperVision, working with the likes of Franz Ferdinand and
Kaiser Chiefs, will continue to develop the careers of existing and new artists through the ‘My
HMV My Music’ distribution. This service includes the running, promotion and organization of live
venues and gigs created by HMV‘s ticket business on a local, regional and national level.
The first trial store will be in Wimbledon, London from 1st of June, as the store previously had a
cinema located above the shop. This location will be converted into a recording studio facility, a
rehearsal area and a centre for music lessons.

technology to educate the British public about the benefits of catching cancer symptoms
early. The new communication strategy is called ‘stay in touch’. With the launch of a
‘signs and symptoms’ smartphone app and a strong online presence in various social
media platforms, the charity aims to be a contributing factor to tackle England’s relatively
poor cancer survival rates.
A survey recently undertaken by the Cancer Awareness Measure, discovered that people
put off seeing their doctor because they are worried about what their doctor might find.
Cancer Research UK’s new communication strategy ‘stay in touch’ is designed to
educate the public about all the possible warning signs and symptoms of cancer.
The free ‘signs and symptoms’ app features an interactive anatomical map of cancer
‘hotspots’ and includes video content featuring doctors’ advice and real-life stories about
the benefit of catching symptoms early.
The charity is also creating an online community forum called ‘CancerChat’ and a
Science Update blog in addition to their social media accounts on Twitter, Facebook and
Youtube. With these communication channels Cancer Research UK wishes to create a
social media hub where people can access reliable information about cancer and talk to
others about anything related to the disease.
Dr. Joanna Reynolds, Cancer Research UK’s director of Centres, said:
An early diagnosis is important, as treatment is often simpler and more likely to be
effective. Finding cancer early can make a real difference. We hope that our new ‘stay in
touch’ strategy will help to reverse the poor cancer survival rates in the UK.
Overall cancer incidence rates have risen by 16% in males and 34% in females since the
late 1970s, but the rates have been fairly stable since the late 1990s. The most up-to
date international comparisons shows that England still has worse cancer survival rates
than many countries, including Canada, Australia, Sweden and Norway.
