From spring 2015, visitors to Bournemouth seafront will be able to enjoy a new world class approach to the pier, with state-of-the-art water-play features, impressive landscaping improvements in keeping with the history and geology of the area and a landmark tourist information kiosk.

Boscombe ChineA fantastic mix of colour, flowers, grassy areas, water, trees and wildlife the gardens bring together the best of their Victorian past. The land train travels up through the Chine from the seafront onto Boscombe High Street (weather permitting).
Tropical Gardens at Alum ChineOriginating back to the 1920s the gardens are a tropical retreat, home to a haven of unusual plants offering a fantastic view of the bay. For wildlife lovers visit one of Bournemouth’s local nature reserves highlights include Hengistbury Head, Stour Valley and Turbury Common.

Visit our Grade II listed Victorian gardens, only a short walk from the beach and town centre. The lower Gardens are home to the country’s largest rockery, the Pinewalk Art Exhibition, mini-golf, bandstand and the Bournemouth Balloon. The Gardens also play host to a number of fabulous festivals and events. For somewhere a little quieter, the Central and upper Gardens are bursting with beautiful natural scenery. Here you can follow one of the guided walks, tree trails or cycle paths as well as finding out about their historic and vibrant flora and fauna at one of the various information points.

The Great Dorset Steam Fair is an annual show featuring steam-powered vehicles and machinery. It covers 600 acres and runs for five days from 2nd - 6th September 2015. The maximum stop is 45 minutes for which the fee is £3.00, paid in cash by casual users - account facilities are available for frequent users.
Facilities include onsite café, toilets during usual working hours, taxi rank, train station, buses to town centre; ASDA superstore includes a McDonald’s
