  • On behalf of all of the staff, volunteers and Board members at the Botanical Gardens, please accept our best wishes to you and your family for a happy and healthy new year. It is also our hope that in 2013 the Gardens will experience continued growth in the quality of our plant collection, flower shows, expansion of our educational programs and successful philanthropic efforts. This will be a challenge, but I

know that if the level of support we received from members, donors and volunteers in 2012 is replicated in 2013, we will have another successful year.

I would like to share with you a few memorable moments that occurred in 2012. First, the Great Plant Sale was a huge success. Pre-sale orders were the highest ever and the overall revenue from the sale reached record levels.

Palm Dome SocietyWe were proud to introduce the Palm Dome Society in 2012, our new major gifts initiative. Palm Dome Society donors provide a contribution of $1,000 or more and form the core of support that breathes life into the Gardens every day. Through their involvement and philanthropy, members are building the foundation for the Gardens future fiscal sustainability, ensuring that the Gardens is here for generations to come.

Donors to the Palm Dome Society in 2012 provided funding for general operations, horticulture, and educational initiatives. We are pleased to recognize the following donors as inaugural members of the Palm Dome Society, and thank them for their generous and thoughtful philanthropy.
