Dear Parents and Caregivers, We create and maintain a safe school environment by protecting the wellbeing of our students and promoting positive relationships between students. We assist students to develop skills in recognising and responding to unsafe situations. The following information may serve as a guide for you to discuss and reinforce this important aspect of your child’s education. Safe People, Safe Place Tips Make sure your parents or another adult you know, knows where you are at all times Always walk straight home or to the place you are going to. Walk near public areas that are busier and not isolated. Be aware of safe places and if you ever feel frightened go to one of these places immediately. Don’t talk to people you don’t know and never get into a car with someone you don’t know. If someone tries to grab you, yell out “Go away, I don’t know you.” This lets people in the vicinity aware that you have been approached by someone you do not know. Discuss with parents other safe people you can look for and talk to if you need help— police officers, teachers, adults you know and trust. and snacks which include fruit and veggies. Trying something new is not always easy but if you give it a go you may find some new foods you really like. If you really can’t eat what you have ordered return the uneaten

portion, stickers and lunch bag to the canteen and we will make you a sandwich so you don’t go hungry. Every lunch order will receive 4 stickers for a chance to win a prize. All other fruit and veggie purchases receive a

sticker for each 50c spent. Come along to the canteen and see what all the excitement is about. Try something new you may love it!
