Blog Post for Frontier Communications Outline:
Every year, our country celebrates the birthday of the United States of
America, July 4th. We celebrate with cookouts, a day off from work, spending
a day on the boat with family and friends, and ending the night with an
intense firework show. But on a deeper level, the military and historic
significance of the 4th have left such a great impact that has led to our
countries growth and freedom.
On July 4th, 1776, we, the United States, were able to declare
independence from Great Britain. As we know, this became official when our
historical leaders signed the Declaration of Independence, a statement
adopted by the Continental Congress, which announced that the thirteen
American colonies regarded themselves as thirteen newly independent
sovereign states.
Frontier is committed to building an image that is recognized for
helping military service members, veterans, and spouses to receive
employment. This opportunity has made the transition smoother for military
members coming back from action. The company hires disabled veterans,
which helps in giving members who have survived lost a second chance in
life. The Frontier team is passionate about helping soldiers who are seeking
employment and are actively involved in the transition of soldiers. Frontier is
based on the fundamental values of organization and values structure within
their work environment. These values are sought out in our soldiers as well as
demonstrating the discipline, dedication, and accountability that it took to
serve our country, which will help them become successful members of the
workforce.
Frontier was named a “Top 100” Military Friendly Employer by Victory
Media in 2014. CivilianJobs.com as a 2015 Most Valuable Employer for
Military Winner recognized Frontier; this award recognizes the help Frontier
has offered military experience job seekers and veterans for employment
options. This recognition has increased the brand awareness that is associated
with military career opportunities. Currently 12% of the Frontier workforce is
comprised of veterans and active reservists. Frontier this year joined the
mission, a coalition of major corporations committed to hiring 100,000
transitioning service members and military veterans by 2020. This commitment
expresses Frontiers dedication to understanding first-hand the benefits of
hiring highly skilled and experience workers.
It’s clear that Frontier has a well-rounded understanding of the
situations that soldiers are in returning from duty, and they have taken the
initiative to guide these soldiers into career opportunities. These opportunities
benefit not only the families of the soldiers, but as a company they are
advancing in hard working and dependable employers. As July 4 th is quickly
approaching, we are reminded of the sacrifices that our historical, influential
leaders made for our countries freedom.
