Strategic PlanningFrontier PR’s team has worked with some of the UK’s biggest brands to help define how they communicate – both at boardroom level and for individual projects.

We understand that a well-defined communications strategy is an essential business tool for any organisation.

At Frontier PR we create living documents that set out your communications tactics – both internal and external – and ensures that each one links directly to your corporate objectives and company values.

Before any activity is undertaken, we help you paint a clear picture of your communications goals, your target audiences and the key messages that reflect your organisation’s ambitions.

That means whether you’re engaging with the media, your customers, politicians or local communities on a planning application, you’ll know exactly what you want to say; and how you want to say it.

Crucially, we will also define and agree return-on-investment – so everyone knows what success looks like when we get there.

Media RelationsGood media relations get you seen, heard and read in all the right places.

At Frontier PR we use our expert knowledge of media relations and contacts in local, national and trade media to:

Build your organisation’s image and promote the work you do to customers and the wider industry

Defend your reputation against potential negative media stories

Help you take ‘ownership’ of the issues that matter to you within the sector

Support specific initiatives or projects such as planning applications

We’ve secured millions of pounds worth of coverage for our clients, with TV, radio and print media coverage – but more importantly we get the right message to the right audience.

We’re also experts in using social media channels to make sure your stories reach the key journalists, bloggers and opinion formers who help shape debates in the social housing industry.

Social MediaSocial media has changed the way we talk to each other.

Sites like Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google+ and Pinterest can no longer be dismissed as ‘passing fads’ – they are now essential parts of the communications mix.

How you present your organisation and respond to online dialogue through these channels will be a major part of defining your image, and a key tool in breaking down barriers with communities and tech savvy generations.

The team at Frontier PR has run social media campaigns for some of the UK’s biggest brands, and can help you:

Engage with new, and often hard to reach, audiences

Manage the perception of your brand in the online community

Raise the profile of key spokespeople and establish them as leaders on key industry issues

Develop social media strategies to ensure that policies and procedures are in place for your online activity

We’re also specialists in using social media to bring campaigns to life, using videos, animation and online engagement to give your stories the edge in the battle to grab media space.

Media TrainingSpeaking live to the media can be one of the most challenging and daunting experiences an organisation faces.

The course of a story and the public image of a company can be re-defined by the answers given in these pressure situations.

That’s why it is absolutely essential that an organisation has a number of well-trained, well-briefed spokespeople who can deliver clearly defined messages, whatever the circumstances.

Frontier PR offers bespoke training that helps organisations prepare for every scenario. We make sure you can take full advantage of opportunities to promote positive projects, and appear calm, competent and in control during a crisis situation.

Crisis CommunicationsHow an organisation operates in a crisis can define its image for years to come.

Our team has a huge amount of experience in managing communications crisis’ having worked on stories including:

The Irlam Gas Explosion

The Adrian Smith vs. Trafford Housing Trust court case

The Lakanal House tower block fire

We offer media training and put plans in place to make sure you are prepared for every eventuality.

Frontier PR will be there for you during a crisis to operate a 24 hour press office, manage communications channels to avoid misinformation, and ensure the right messages reach customers, staff and the media.

We provide regular scenario training to make sure that your team know their roles and responsibilities in the event of a crisis situation.

Keepmoat HomesSpecialist public relations agency Frontier PR was tasked by Keepmoat to assist with its proposals on the regeneration of the HCA’s Bickershaw South development site in Leigh near Wigan.

Our role involved engaging with and considering the needs of local stakeholders, including residents, community groups, organisations and politicians, in order to develop a blueprint for ongoing engagement.

Utilising the community intelligence gained, Frontier PR outlined how Keepmoat would effectively tackle issues such as:

Generating new skills and training

The history of the site

Provision of green spaces

Local economic development

This included utilising the local and regional media, site visits, social media and exhibitions.

Ian Fletcher, Regional Head of Land & Partnerships at Keepmoat said: “Frontier PR supported Keepmoat in a major competitive dialogue bid for the HCA, producing a robust PR strategy as part of our detailed submission which demonstrated their comprehensive knowledge of the local market and the nuances of how to engage with communities.”

ProgressMobysoft, a market leader in bespoke data and information solutions for social landlords, requested that Frontier PR develop a mechanism to encourage intelligent and ongoing dialogue with the sectors leaders.

In response Frontier PR created Progress: leadership in housing. Progress is a leadership forum, hosted by RSLs and sponsored by Mobysoft.

Frontier PR developed the concept from beginning to end – delivering a brand identity, working collaboratively with host RSLs on event management and undertaking the promotion and invite process.

Activity also included social media, media relations and post event whitepaper writing.

The benefits can best be summed up by Mobysoft’s Managing Director, Derek Steele: “Progress has been a big success for everyone involved. All the events exceeded expectation, both in terms of numbers of attendees and the new business opportunities generated.

“Progress has also been incredibly well received by the attending delegates who provided overwhelmingly positive feedback.

“Progress hit the right note at the right time, meshing perfectly with Mobysoft’s ‘housing intelligence’ ethos and allowing everyone involved to benefit. Frontier PR grasped from the outset that Progress could not be a ‘hard sell’, rather an opportunity for Mobysoft to facilitate high-level discussion and debate – an opportunity for leaders to learn from leaders.”
