THE UNVARYING GOD
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:Ephesians 1:3July 29, 2012Rev. David B. HansonDeaf Liberty Baptist ChurchOverland Park, Kansas
The Unvarying God
All gifts are from above and from our Father.
God is the unchanging God. The unchanging God must keep
all He saves. God wants you to take all He
gives.
The Unvarying God
James 1:17 Every good gift and every
perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.
King Balak Asks Balaam to Curse Israel
Numbers 22:6 6 Come now therefore, I pray
thee, curse me this people; for they are too mighty for me: peradventure I shall prevail, that we may smite them, and that I may drive them out of the land: for I wot that he whom thou blessest is blessed, and he whom thou cursest is cursed.
Balaam Disobeys God
Numbers 22:12-13 12 And God said unto Balaam,
Thou shalt not go with them; thou shalt not curse the people: for they are blessed.
Balaam Disobeys God
Numbers 22:12-13 13 And Balaam rose up in the
morning, and said unto the princes of Balak, Get you into your land: for the Lord refuseth to give me leave to go with you.
God’s Anger Is Against Balaam
Numbers 22:22 22 And God's anger was
kindled because he went: and the angel of the Lord stood in the way for an adversary against him. Now he was riding upon his ass, and his two servants were with him.
Balaam’s Donkey Talks
Numbers22:30-31 30 And the ass said unto
Balaam, Am not I thine ass, upon which thou hast ridden ever since I was thine unto this day? was I ever wont to do so unto thee? and he said, Nay.
Balaam’s Donkey Talks
Numbers22:30-31 31 Then the Lord opened the
eyes of Balaam, and he saw the angel of the Lord standing in the way, and his sword drawn in his hand: and he bowed down his head, and fell flat on his face.
Why God Turns Against Balaam?
1. Balaam did not listen to God.
2. Balaam tried four times to curse Israel and failed.
3. God changed his attempts to blessings.
4. Balaam’s weakness was money.
