Dear Editor,I am intrigued by your claim about the relative bacterial content of shore and boat flushes. Please could you send me a link to the science?
Dear Sirs,I challenge the figures quoted that one flush from a boat contains 250,000 times the bacteria than a home flush. This has to be grossly overstated. It’s exactly the same stuff after all!
Editor,How on earth can this be true. Sensationalising on environmental matters helps no one: it spreads misinformation. The only way we can make progress is by good education and understanding, which then builds advocates and a groundswell for change.
