How to use your course on myTUTor CE8


Go to http://mytutor.tut.ac.za Log in with your Username and Password

UsernamePassword

Course material can be accessed from three places


Course material is viewed on-screen

By default starts at the top of the table of contentsClick on the required link in the table of contents


Course material PowerPoint presentations can also be downloaded


Course material can be downloaded

By default starts at the top of the table of contents

Open or save the document


Course material can also be accessed from the menu bar


Click on the appropriate link


Announcements can be viewed by clicking on Announcements in the menu bar


Assignments can be accessed by clicking on Assignments in the menu bar


Discussion topics can be accessed by clicking on Discussions in the menu bar


Important dates can be accessed by clicking on Calendar in the menu bar


Mail messages can be accessed by clicking on Mail in the menu bar


Personal files relating to this course can be accessed by clicking on My Files on the menu bar

Files can be created or uploaded from your computer


Grades of all e-assessments (tests and assignments) can be accessed by clicking on Grades in the menu bar


Progress in the online course can be monitored by clicking on My Progress in the menu bar


Personal notes relating to the course can be created and saved by clicking on Notes in the menu bar

Click Add General Note

Saved notes can be edited


Assessments can be accessed by clicking on Assessments in the menu bar

Click on the appropriate test link


Information about the assessment is displayed


Type the password

Click Begin Assessment


A timer is displayed if set by the lecturer

Progress Status is displayed

After each answer click Save and View NextAt the end of the assessment, click Finish


After submitting your assessment click OK


All submissions can be viewed afterwards
