What can we offer students at our Digbeth and Aston Centres?
Our spacious training rooms and learning suites are all well-equipped and laid out. Most have natural light and all are well ventilated and comfortable places to learn. Specialist training areas at both sites are dedicated to enabling students to gain skills and include a purpose-built Training Kitchen at the Digbeth Centre. Our IT suites offer Internet access and the facility to study for a wide range of qualifications. They are equipped to stringent health & safety standards including footrests, ergonomic chairs and anti-glarescreens.
Self service restaurant areas at both sites are comfortable and welcoming with ample seating. Hot drinks are served twice a day and at lunchtimes. A selection of hot and cold food is available. The menu is changed every day and includes healthy eating, vegetarian and Halal options.
Digbeth site has a small retail facility selling soft drinks, confectionery and other personal items. The shop also sells craft and household items such as soft furnishings, and gift items.
Healthy bodies are as important as well trained minds and we offer a choice of outdoor activities including our Green Gym programme and horticultural training based at Park Lane Garden Centre and our allotment areas where we grow fresh produce from which we make preserves and chutneys.
There is a wide range of work experience opportunities on offer within BITA Pathways from manufacturing and packing operations at the Digbeth site to quality textiles production in Saltley.
At BITA Pathways we believe we have something unique to offer adults* experiencing mental ill health in Birmingham and Solihull. Service users are at the core of everything we do and our mission is to provide high quality services in a supportive and friendly environment.

What qualifications will I obtain? Many of our programmes are accredited by the National Open College Network. This flexible system allows students to move along a pathway of levels from pre-entry to level two and allows you to achieve either an Award or a Certificate depending on your choice of course.
We also offer nationally recognised qualifications accredited by City & Guilds. In additionwe are newly recognized to deliver National Certificates in Further Education programmes.

All our courses are delivered in small groups, typically 6-8 students, and much of our training is delivered on a one-to-one basis. All our tutors have a professional qualification and are experienced within their chosen subject areas, and we work in partnership with South Birmingham College, so you can be assured of a high quality standard.
And then...?At the end of all training programmes you will be offered an information, advice & guidance interview with one of our Learning & Work Advisers. You might decide to progress to the next level of any particular course, or that you want to study in mainstream education...Or you might feel ready to move on to employment.
