NASM-Certified Personal Trainer; CPR/First-Aid/Oxygen Certified
Focus
Weight loss, sport-specific training, functional training, body building, power lifting
Biography
After facing my own challenges with weight, I turned to the gym to make the changes I desired. I quickly realized that I needed to turn to books to be able to develop a training routine for myself so that I could make the changes in my physique. My personal physique changes led me to joining an organization called the National Physiques Committee so I could compete in Body Building. Those experiences I had allowed me to open my mind further to many different training modalities for many different physique goals. This quest for knowledge led me to becoming a Personal Trainer. I know that many people start their training journey without the knowledge and tools to make the changes. I felt the same way when I began to train. The concept of helping others to achieve their goals is what makes being a Personal Trainer so rewarding.

Biography
One day – about 10 years ago – I decided I wanted to go for a run. Just a mile. I couldn't do it. I was a multi-sport varsity athlete in high school, and now I couldn't run one mile without stopping. Fast forward to today, and I've completed a marathon, more than 20 half-marathons and countless 10-mile, 10K and 5K competitions. What happened was I decided to study and implement the principles of overall health and fitness into my life. I now understand nutrition, weight-lifting, cardio, flexibility and even a little yoga. My approach is to build real, functional fitness through a wide range of activities. Now all I want to do is to help somebody else get to the finish line.
