• Dual-text books: readers that contain the same text in both English and anotherlanguage in the same book.

• Parallel-text books: readers in English with an identical version available in a second(or more) language, in a separate book or books.

• Multiple-text books: books that contain the same text in more than two languages. These arelisted at the end of this booklist.

Some dual-text books are available in a large number of languages (mostly children’s books and booksfor use in multilingual family literacy contexts) and these are also listed at the end of this booklist.

We also have books that are available only in another language: these are mostly books in Somali,Swahili and some Southern African languages and they are listed in Catalog 6, Books in AfricanLanguages.
