As per police sources, Showkat Ahmad Naik, son of Ghulam Naik, a resident of Chapnari Banihal was injured after SSB jawan posted at under construction railway tunnel fired at him around 10 pm after mistaking him as a militant. Nayak, according to sources, was posted as a security guard with a construction company rail- way tunnel. Meanwhile, Nayak was shifted to SDH Banihal, from where he has been referred to a hospital in Srinagar for advanced treatment. Banihal police has detained taken a Constable of SSB-14 Battalion A-Coy Amit Satya. One INSAS rifle and 17 rounds have also been seized. Further investigation into the whole episode is going on. RAMBAN, Nov 6: A jawan of SSB has been detained foralleged firing on a security guard after suspecting him as a militantin Chapnari area of Tehsil Banihal.
