OBITUARY

Thepassing away ofSri. NeelathalliKasturi (82)recently, has beenan irreparableloss as much toGandhian’s

students as to the BangaloreKendra of Bhavan, especiallyits section engaged in the sacredtask of bringing out the entireworks of Gandhi in Kannada.

Sri. Kasturi, an avowedGandhian was a close associateof the Kendra right from itsinception. As one well-versed inGandhian studies, naturally whenthe Kendra undertook thetranslation and publication of

Gandhiji’s works in Kannada,it sought his help for executingthat stupendous work. Hereadily and willingly extendedhis support to Dr. MeenaDeshpande, its honorary editorto avail of persons familiarwith Gandhian ideology fortranslation. He himself notonly assisted the editor insifting and editing but himselffully translated as many asthree of the 25 volumes, that are completed. Hencehis absence will be felt acutely.

While conveying its deep-felt grief to the bereaved family, the Bhavan wishes that they areendowed with enough strengthto bear the loss. May his soulrest in peace.
