Komodo Dragons legs are very strong. When they are adults they use their strong legs to dig burrows. Their legs get stronger has they grow. When they attack, they go legs first so they can get them of balance.

Komodo dragons can smell with tongue. Their tongue looks like a snake tongue. They can grow up to 10 feet long. Their stomach can expand if they eat too much. Their jaw are very strong so they can eat large amounts of meat at once .

• Komodo Dragons have sixty teeth that are curved. They will lose their teeth 4-5 times, but they will grow them back very quickly.

• They will have 4-5 sets of teeth in their life.

• Komodo Dragons claws have sharp nails .They have their claws to help them climb and kill their prey.

• Their tails are very strong. The kids can stand on their tail. When they are adults, their tails get thicker and stronger.

When Komodo dragons hatch they are one foot long.

When they are kids they have yellow dots all over them. When they are adults their scales are not yellow

Komodo dragons have been alive for millions of years.

Along time ago Chinese people thought komodo dragons’ tails could be ground into powder for medicine so hunters would hunt for them.

Komodo dragons eat as much as they can eat.

They can eat a whole deer by themselves. Sometimes they are

so hungry, they will eat each other.

Komodo dragons eat meat. They eat deer, water buffalo, people, farm , animals , wild boars and even other Komodo dragons.

Sometimes komodo dragons hide near water holes, then attack when other animals are drinking.

Komodo Dragons have places for hunting spots. They are poisonous because they don’t brush their teeth. They get deadly bacteria so if it bites an animal, it will get weak and makes it easy to kill.

Komodo dragons hide in bushes and tall grass. They sink their teeth into the animal. If the animal gets away they will follow the animal until it stops. They often share large animals.

Komodo dragons live in savannas. They also live in tropical rain forest, tall mountains that are covered in ,snow. Fires happen and burn most the plants down. They live on the islands Rintja, Padar, Komodo, Flores, Gila Mota,and Owadi Sami.
