    5.00 pm It is hoped All Sheep will be removed from the Market Premises by this time. Anyone unable to comply with this requirement should make contact with a member of Wright Manleys staff who will advise as to alternative arrangements.

    ORDER OF SALE: ALL Sheep will be sold in Catalogue Order.

    METHOD OF SALE: ALL Sheep will be sold in guineas and Settlement in Full is due to the Auctioneers immediately at the conclusion of the Sale. No animal may be removed from the Sale Premises without an official Pass and Licence obtainable only from the Auctioneers Office.

    CONDITIONS OF SALE are printed at the back of this catalogue.

    CREDIT and DEBIT CARD FACILITIES are available at this Sale. Please note there is a 2% charge plus VAT on ALL Credit Cards.

    AGENCY BIDDING: Customers are reminded that if they are bidding as Agents they must produce to the Auctioneers before the Auction Sale a written authority from the person or persons on whose behalf they are bidding. If they do not, the Auctioneers are entitled to treat them as bidding on their own account and will invoice them personally for any purchase made.

    ACCOMMODATION: A list of Hotels and Farmhouse Accommodation is printed at the back of this catalogue.

    REFRESHMENTS: Luncheons and Light Refreshments will be available throughout the course of the Sale.

    SPECIAL NOTES

    UDDERS: All Female Sheep are sold as correct in the udder unless otherwise intimated. Any complaint about udders should be made to the Auctioneer before removal from the sale premises otherwise no claim will be entertained.

    BREEDING GUARANTEES: All Ewes and Gimmers other than those marked red on the shoulder are guaranteed to be inlamb as at the date of sale to the Service/AI dates given and are guaranteed for 30 days from the day of Sale. Any claims received after this date will not be entertained. The service/insemination dates given are accurate to the best of the vendors knowledge; but purchasers should be aware that Ewes can lamb before and after the expected due date.

    HEALTH: All Sheep presented for Sale in the market are from Maedi Visna Flocks. All Sheep presented for Sale must be accompanied by the relevant MV Accredited Movement Licence. If the Flock is Scrapie Monitored please supply the relevant Certificate.

  • ANIMAL GATHERINGS ORDER 2002PROCEDURAL REQUIREMENTS

    FOR VENDORS AND PURCHASERS ATTENDING BEESTON CASTLE AUCTION

    VENDORS: Please Ensure:

    * Your vehicle is cleaned and disinfected before loading stock.* The Wright Manley Entry Card is completed and travels with the animals. * That all Licences and Relevant Documents TRAVEL WITH the animals. * That all Persons travelling with the stock are wearing suitable clothing, i.e. Wellington boots,

    waterproof leggings and/or a boiler suit/smock or waterproof top. All clothing to be clean.

    Failure to comply with the above will result in stock being refused entry to the Market.

    PURCHASERS & SPECTATORS: * The car park for all nonlivestock carrying vehicles will be in the area around the Calf Shed and

    the only access for the market will be via the entrance nearest The Wild Boar. * All persons including ladies and children to wear suitable clothing. All clothing to be clean.

    Anyone handling stock should wash their hands after handling stock* Disinfection points will be provided around the market which must be used regularly,

    particularly when leaving cattle penning areas. * You need only C & D your stock trailer or lorry in the market if you are taking stock out again.

    If you do not clean out you will have to complete a C & D exit form indicating when and where you will C & D before carrying livestock again. All rules will have to be rigidly enforced or a licence will be at risk of cancellation

    NOTE:Please note that the entrance for all stock will be at the entrance nearest The Wild Boar. No entry for any vehicles or people will be permitted at the Main Entrance by the railway bridge.

    SPECIAL NOTE TO PURCHASERS REGARDING HAULAGE AND REMOVAL OF STOCK FROM

    BEESTON CASTLE AUCTION

    Please note there are a number of first class and top quality hauliers who attend Beeston on a regular basis. However, if you are not using your own trailer you are advised to contact and organise a haulier to make provisional arrangements in order to secure transport at an advanced time prior to the Sale. Please contact the pedigree office at Beeston if you wish us to organise a haulier on your behalf. NOTE: A list of Hauliers Names and Telephone Numbers is printed at the back of this catalogue.

  • ANIMAL TRANSPORT REGULATIONS

    From 5th January 2007 New Regulations came into force affecting anyone who transports live animals. Anyone moving animals more than 65 kilometres (40 miles) will require a LICENCE.

    For the majority of farmers who are likely to fall in this category, they will need to apply for a SHORT JOURNEY AUTHORISATION from the State Veterinary Service. This authorisation will last for 5 years unless revoked or suspended and a copy of this will be required to be carried whenever stock are moved. The distance of 65km is defined as the travelling distance, not as the crow flies.

    If this applies to you, application must be made as soon as possible and you should keep a copy of the application form to carry with you if you did not receive your licence before 5th January.

    BLUETONGUEVACCINATIONS

    IMPORTANT NOTICE

    1. NO WARRANTY over the effectiveness of any vaccination can be given or implied by either the vendor or the auctioneer.

    2. Auctioneers will only announce the dates of any vaccinations supplied to them by the vendor, when provided by that vendor.

    3. Purchasers are understood to be, and will be taken to be, bidding for anystock in full knowledge of the level of declaration required to allow stock to move to their holding.
