Transcript of Because there’s space
Because there’s space for efficiency and sustainability everywhere. Drainage systems
parkline
Sustainable innovation.
Drainage systems in car parks are a necessity and faced with a wide range of challenges – which are not quite met by traditional rectangular gutter systems. FILCOTEN® parkline is a different story: our system shows that HPC, a modern mineral high performance concrete combined with a sophisticated structure, is the right solution for any challenge.
The best drainage performance with maximum efficiency.Alongside optimized drainage performance, the parkline system also offers a variety of properties for entirely new opportunities for increasing efficiency, both during installation and in day to day use.

Intelligent drain cover- Drain cover made from V2A stainless steel- Can easily be removed for cleaning- Functions as a sturdy cover and walkway
bridge and thus increases accessibility
Comb Profile- suitable for wheelchairs- Slot width of 12.5 mm, 17 mm or 18 mm,
based on requirements of EN 1433- Almost no height difference from
the surrounding roadwayDrainage-optimized
channel bodyThe draining water is channeled into the drain in the center via the two branch channels.

Joint raking Pressure washer Sweepers
Sophisticated sealing joint- sealable butt joint, easily accessible and inspectable- based on requirements of EN 1433- In order to create a sealed system and connect
with the surface coating system, a seal should be made below the parkline elements.
Powerful connectionThe coefficient of expansion for FILCOTEN® is identical to that of concrete, meaning that the material is perfectly suited to ensuring a firm fit in the long term.
Perfect fitSide fixing pouches reinforce the firm fit in the concrete bed and ensure additional stability.
Easy cleaning and maintenance• No separate grates• Easy to check for soiling without removing grates• Easy to clean thanks to clear cross section without covers
Installation examples
General information
The installation guidelines and installation examples below are intended for standard applications. The load class and the instal-lation location in accordance with EN 1433 should be adapted during planning to suit the local conditions. The technical policies and guidelines generally recognized should be taken into consider-ation during installation. Please contact BG Application Engineer-ing for special applications.
A FILCOTEN® parkline installation guidelines for asphalt or paving
B FILCOTEN® parkline installation guidelines for concrete surfaces with finishing
1) A Setting of the FILCOTEN® parkline using bitumen lug sealing on a concrete foundation which is at least 2 cm thick in accordance with the Austrian standard B4710-1 or in micro-fine concrete in accordance with RVS 08.18.01 or a flex adhesive spreader. Depending on the structural requirements, a side wheel leveller setting in concrete is required – see cross-sections for details.
1) B Setting of the FILCOTEN® parkline in a recess over an on-site structure seal – in accordance with the listed surface finishing system. The parkline are (selectively) set in the desired position using earth-moist concrete and are then infilled with grouting mortar – see cross-sections for details.
2) A+B Initial setting of the body run at the transition to the drain.
3) A+B The butt joints between the individual channel bodies can be sealed or adhered with a suitable sealant – for material description and quantity determination see BG Sealing System. (www.bg-company.com/sealing_system)
4) A When sealing the superstructure and the surface layer (asphalt, paving), please ensure that the channel bodies are not damaged.
5) A If horizontal forces occur (e.g. in paved surfaces, on slopes, etc.), a sufficiently dimensioned expansion joint is to be provided in the roadway connection area, 30-200 cm from the channel.
6) A If shearing forces occur, paving surfaces must be friction locked with the back supports. This can be accomplished by setting the first three rows of paving slabs (on the channel run) in a bed of mortar. The joints should be back-filled with mineral. Shearing forces on the paving surface should not act directly on the channel walls (e.g. thermal expansion, braking forces, etc.).
7 ) A All adjoining top layers should be 3-5 mm higher than the surface of the channel bodies in order to prevent mechanical damage (e.g. snow removal) and to ensure the inflow of water.
7 ) B All adjoining top layers should slope towards the parkline runs in order to ensure the inflow of water.
8) A+B In areas where chemical attacks (e.g. de-icing chemicals, acids, bases, etc.) are expected, we recommend cleaning soiling off the drainage runs and rinsing them with clean water sufficiently often.

Simple, extremely sturdy laying. • Mounting with installation chairs possible • Channel bodies are pre-installed with elevation
and are then completely set in concrete • Fastening with screws ensures quick and
easy laying as well as high stability • No heavy equipment needed for installation • Time and cost-savings during installation • Temporary cover protects the channel body
during concrete pouring
Perfect for renovations. • Can be applied regardless of previously used
systems owing to the flat construction
• Installation in existing recesses
