Welcome to the Little Econ Greenway!Through an innovative use of public lands and waterways, Orange County is pleased to bring the benefits of parks and recreation to the front door of citizens of East Orange County. Currently, the Little Econ Greenway stretches 7.2 miles connecting area schools, churches and community centers. As many as 30,000 people per month enjoy the beauty of the trail that borders the Little Econ River which displays an abundance of wildlife.
The Little Econ Greenway is a multi-purpose recreational trail containing a 14-foot wide paved surface to be enjoyed by walkers, joggers, hikers, bikers, skaters and the physically challenged. Along the corridor you will find wildlife habitats featuring a great range of species as well as environmental learning areas.
The Little Econ Greenway extends from Alafaya Trail to Forsyth Road. Located along this 7.2-mile section are riverside recreation areas for fishing, picnicking and canoeing. Eventually, the Little Econ Greenway will extend from the Cady Way Trail system to the University of Central Florida. Future phases of the greenway will link this Orange County trail system to the Cross Seminole Trail providing a loop of transportation and recreational opportunities.
