Our Parish Center
We at Blessed Teresa are fortunate to have a parish center that is the hub of religious education, social activities, meetings, administration, and outreach to others in many ways. The parish center is air conditioned, handicap accessible, and offers two large halls, one carpeted and one tiled, in addition to eight classrooms for parish events. The kitchen in Clare Hall has been updated with a large refrigerator, new stove/oven, and a new dishwasher.
In light of these facts and with the approval of the Parish Council, all dinners and luncheons, including funeral luncheons, will be held at the parish center. Following Funeral Masses celebrated at either North Lake or Monches, Clare Hall is available for family and friends of the de-ceased. As part of good stewardship and outreach, events at the center are meant to build a community of faith—both within and outside of our parish family.
Guidelines for reception of Communion —For Catholics Catholics fully participate in the celebration of the Eucharist when they receive Holy Communion in fulfillment of Christ’s command to eat His Body and drink His Blood. In order to be properly disposed to receive Communion, communicants should not be conscious of grave sin, have fasted for an hour, and seek to live in charity and love with their neighbors. Persons conscious of grave sin must first be reconciled with God and the Church through the sacrament of Penance. A frequent reception of the sacrament of Penance is encouraged for all.
—For Other Christians We welcome to this celebration of the Eucharist those Christians who are not fully united with us. It is a consequence of the sad divisions in Christianity that we cannot extend to them a general invitation to receive Communion. Catholics believe that the Eucharist is an action of the celebrating community signifying a oneness in faith, life, and worship of the community. Reception of the Eucharist by Christians not fully united with us would imply a oneness which does not yet exist, and for which we must all pray.
—For Those Not Receiving Communion Those not receiving sacramental Communion are encouraged to express in their hearts a prayerful desire for unity with the Lord Jesus and with one another.
—For Non-Christians We also welcome to this celebration those who do not share our faith in Jesus. While we cannot extend to them an invitation to receive Communion, we do invite them to be united with us in prayer. 1996—United States Conference of Catholic Bishops.
Christmas Message from the Pastor
Dear Parishioners of Blessed Teresa of Calcutta Parish, It was St. Francis who popularized the man-ger scene that adorns our homes and places of wor-ship. We are grateful to St. Francis who 785 years ago (1223) founded a little her-mitage on a sheer wall of rock, using, as he habitually did, one of the caves supplied by nature, and trans-formed it into a chapel. At his request, a manger was installed and generously provided with straw. An ox and
donkey, the witnesses demanded by tradition, followed.
During the night torches were lit, and the people from all around the region walked up through the trees, torches in hand, making the moun-tain paths surge like streams of light. A priest came to say Mass, which was celebrated over the manger, and Francis, wearing the dalmatic (outer liturgical garment worn by the deacon), proclaimed the Nativity Gospel. That was an eternal moment full of poetry that only Francis of Assisi could have discovered.
In the sentiments of peace and joy, I extend to each of you and your loved ones a most blessed Christmas. May the Prince of Peace be born anew in our hearts, and may His love find a home in the way we live each day.
Merry Christmas,
Fr. Tony
And assisting clergy and the parish staff

Christian Formation
And theWord was made flesh
Join us for the first Living Nativity presented by Blessed Teresa of Calcutta Parish. Experience the town of Bethlehem that first Christmas night.
Enjoy the sights and sounds of the shepherds keeping watch over their flocks and angels bringing tidings of great joy. All who are hopeful will be lead by a star to the infant wrapped
in swaddling clothes and lying in the manger. The same presentation will be performed at 4pm and again at 6pm. Chili and soup will be served following each presentation.
The Living Nativity will take place at the barn on the parish land
located on Highway VV west of the polo fields.
Your family won’t want to miss this!

Financial Stewardship We budgeted $250,000 for contributions for July thru November; however, we only received $209,000. More-over, for this same period last year, our contributions were $227,000, so we are still considerably below last year’s numbers:
July thru November
$250.000- $125,000-
$250,000 $227,000 $209,000
Stewardship is a basic tenet of our faith; God loves a cheerful giver —- and so do we!

Lost… If you accidentally placed your bank deposit in the Sunday collection basket, please call the parish office to identify. In the mystery of the Incarnation, the Son of God
confirmed the dignity of the body and soul which constitute the human being. Christ did not disdain human bodiliness, but instead fully disclosed its meaning and value: ―In reality, it is only in the mystery of the incarnate Word that the mystery of man truly becomes clear‖.
