From the Principal T-ball STATE CHAMPIONS and RUNNERS UP! Our Girls are the State T-ball champions and the boys are runners up. Both teams went through to the finals undefeated and put on a spectacular show of skill and determination in the finals. Final scores were: Girls Bass Valley PS 21 def. Mount View PS 5 and Boys Milgate PS 14 def. Bass Valley PS 5.
Thanks to Mr McCormick and Kylie Lansdown for the time and effort put into training and coaching the teams. Bike Ed Our Bike Ed team who also competed on Wednesday, were successful in progressing to the next round. The children had spent weeks practising their bike riding skills and safety knowledge. Well done team! District Basketball Last Friday we sent two teams to Newhaven College for the District Basketball competition. Although our teams did not progress to the next stage of competition, they showed great sportsmanship and determination. Well done to those students involved. Sesame St Circus Spectacular - Raffle Silvers Circus have kindly donated 4 tickets to their Sesame Street Circus Spectacular. If you would like to be in the draw to win, fill in the entry form attached in the newsletter or from your class teacher. Winners will be drawn on Tuesday 17th at assembly. You must be able to attend on Sunday 22 September, 3pm session at Burnley Oval. Entries must be signed by an adult to be eligible.

-cups/coffee mugs, small bowls and empty
milo tins. We are also looking specifically for
Moccona jars of all sizes. All items must be
clean and have no sharp edges (sharp chips or cracks).

Wonthaggi Secondary College Visit Year 7 students from Wonthaggi Secondary College visited Prep A and Prep G today. The Year 7’s have written and illustrated their own stories about endangered animals. The Prep’s were fascinated listening to the very creative stories. We hope to be able to develop this connection between schools into the future. Term 4 – Hats
Term 4 brings out the sunshine so we require all students to wear a hat when playing outside. Please make sure
your child has the school wide brimmed or bucket hat. Hats are available for purchase at the school office for
$12.00.
Parents Club Parents club are collecting the Woolworths Discovery Garden pots. If you have any spare please drop them off at the office. Washing machine – Parents club are also seeking a front loading washing machine for the school. If you have one to donate or are selling one please contact the school. Footy Day Thursday 19th is Footy day. Order forms have been sent home for our footy day lunch, they are due in Monday. Children can dress in their footy colours or sporting team colours and we will have footy activities throughout the day. Reminders
Bikes need to be collected from the school by Tuesday 17th September. Also please check the correct helmet went home with your child as we have some misplaced items that we are trying to locate.
The library will be closed for borrowing from Friday. Please return all library books.
Car parking – parents are reminded that they are not to park or drop off in the staff car park.

SCHOOL DENTAL VAN VISIT School Dental facilitates the promotion of oral health for children of all ages through educational classes and dental treatment within the schooling environment. Their mission is to improve the oral health standards of our local communities through education and early intervention. The School Dental van will be visiting BVPS on 31st October and 1st November. For your child to visit the Dental service you need to complete the consent form which has been sent home. School Dental will check if you’re eligible for Medicare BULK BILLING.
