Basmati rice is long-grain rice, which has light beige to off white colour andhas long slender grains. It is also known as the Prince of Rice and istraditionally grown in Pakistan and India. Cooking Instructions
COOKING INSTRUCTIONS: 1. Wash one cup of rice in a fine sieve underwarm running water until the water runs clear. 2. Bring 4 cups of water to theboil. 3. Stir in 1 cup of rice plus a pinch of salt, butter or oil if desired. 4. Boilrapidly, uncovered for approximately 15 minutes, occasionally lifting with afork. 5. Drain in a strainer, rinse with hot water and serve. Add a little extrabutter, if desired. 1 cup of uncooked Riviana Basmati Rice yieldsapproximately 3 cups when cooked.
