We own a few restaurants in the city and we are familiar with the strengths of each neighborhood. I always knew I wanted to locate on Barracks Row. I thought this would be a perfect location for our Balkan restaurant. A lot of people on Capitol Hill spend time in Europe, and we knew they would enjoy the concept of our restaurant. This area supports diverse types of businesses.

It’s different here. Where else are you gonna find a place with homemade poptarts? We come here all the time. I bring my kids- all three. We love the homemade poptarts at Ted’s Bulletin. They’re the bomb! It’s a safe, fun environment here.

I love this neighborhood.

Dynamic Stakeholders: Barracks Row is the only commercial district in DC served by both a Main Streets organization and a Business Improvement District (BID). In fact, there are two BIDS that assist portions of Barracks Row: the Capitol Hill BID and the Capitol Riverfront BID.

Strong Support for Businesses: Area businesses benefit from a wide range of neighborhood safety and streetscaping programs, business funding opportunities, and other types of support. In addition, Barracks Row Main Street hosts festivals, promotions, and celebrations throughout the year that help bring new audiences to the Row.
