ESADE was founded more than 50 years ago to promote education and research in the fields of business administration and law. Its aim: to contribute to the scientific, social and humane education of people who stand out for their high level of professional competence and for being fully aware of their responsibility in the development of a society that fosters human dignity within the framework of humanistic traditions, and in a context of intercultural dialogue.

AACSB International: ESADE was the first business school in Spain and

the seventh in Europe to achieve this quality accreditation, awarded by The

Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB International),

and which grants the most prestigious international recognition in

management education.

EQUIS: ESADE was the first business school in Spain and one of the first

European institutions to be accredited by the European Quality Improvement

System (EQUIS), awarded by the European Foundation for Management

Development (EFMD).

AMBA: The MBA Programmes at ESADE have been accredited internationally by

the Association of MBAs (AMBA) since 1994.

CEMS: ESADE is a founding member of CEMS and the only Spanish institution

where the Master in International Management (CEMS MIM) can be studied;

a programme that has established standards of excellence in international

Ambitious and rigorous in terms of its objectives: by the end of the programme,

students will have a complete and

international view of organisations and they

will be able to apply the specific knowledge

and tools of each functional area to fulfil

company strategies, all based on values

such as sustainability and corporate social

responsibility.

Innovative in its methodologyESADE has developed its own pedagogical

system combining various methodologies to

contribute to the development of managerial

competences and skills.

PracticalBecause special emphasis is given at all

times to the practical application of the

knowledge acquired in class and from

faculty (who are mainly active professionals)

or outside the class through professional

internships and student associations.

internationalThe programme’s global perspective is

clear as demonstrated by the content

of its syllabus: the option of learning

Spanish, German or French from a business

point of view; the international exchange

programme; direct contact with students

from other countries studying at ESADE or

participating in an exchange programme; the

possibility of carrying out internships around

the world; the possibility of participating in

double degree programmes offered jointly

with other prestigious universities; the

option to pursue one of the ESADE MSc

Programmes in Management.

Committed to societyIn keeping with its values, ESADE is committed

to society, and this is reflected in all of its

teaching activities. As such, the syllabus

contemplates the possibility of students carrying

out work as volunteers and collaborating with

companies in solidarity projects in developing

countries. In addition, students may also take

part in a wide variety of solidarity campaigns

organised by student-led associations.

“To successfully meet the objectives of the Bachelor Programme, students should be responsible for their own learning process from the very beginning. To do so, they will be given the support and attention of the Programme Management and professors at ESADE, who will help them adapt to this new stage in their lives.”

Xari RoviraDirector of the Bachelor of Business Administration-BBA

Learning through practiceFrom teaching to learning and developing competencesESADE has its own innovative pedagogical

system geared towards students acquiring the

knowledge and developing the skills that single

out a good manager in a professional work

environment. As such, and in collaboration

with several companies, ESADE has integrated

a competence and skills model in its syllabus.

Competences cannot be explained; they

must be put into practice. To do so, learning

situations are created in each subject in order

to develop the twenty competences in the

Bachelor’s competence model.

Many ways of learningLearning objectives as ambitious as the ones

at ESADE require using and combining different

methods, enabling the complexity of the

business management world to be reproduced:

active classes, study and discussion of

practical cases, personal study and teamwork,

simulated management scenarios, seminars

on competence development, professional

internships, company creation projects,

international competitions and business games.

Personalised attention

All professors at ESADE are firmly committed

to the learning process of their students:

they continuously monitor their academic

development and are always available for

consultation, both in and out of the classroom.

Excellent academics and prestigious professionalsParallel to teaching, many of our professors

also have professional careers, enabling them

to maintain direct contact with professional

circles and the latest trends in their respective

areas of knowledge. In addition, thanks to our

rigorous research activity, we can satisfy future

needs in the business world and constantly

update our programme to make sure students

receive the best possible education.

Learning foreign languages: English, Spanish, French or GermanStudents learn foreign languages from a

business point of view:English, Spanish,

French or German. For this, a participative

methodology based on small classes and

native teachers is used. Students can also

study subjects delivered in these languages.

Exchange programmes: a passport to the world

Thanks to the exchange programme,

students spend one semester in their third

or fourth year studying abroad.

This enables them to:

- Study in some of the most

prestigious business schools in the world

- Perfect their knowledge of

foreign languages

- Become acquainted with other

cultures, other ways of thinking

and seeing the world

- Meet people from all over the world

- Enjoy a unique life experience

ESADE Alumni: an international network of professionalsOn completing the programme, ESADE

students become part of the extensive

community of ESADE Alumni: a network of

over 44,000 professionals working around

the world.

Job placement statistics for the last few years

The best start to a great careerA wide range of career opportunitiesAll societies develop thanks to their organisations, whether they are private or public, non-profit

making or social. This is why the range of career possibilities offered by the business management

world is increasingly wider and students from ESADE find jobs in the most varied fields. The

professional career tends to begin in a specific functional area, in which responsibility is taken for

increasingly complex projects, and is directed towards team management.
