ProTechTM

The Full Range of Bearing Isolators

ProTechTM

TechnologyThe unique ProTech technology has been developed over

a num ber of years to provide total bearing protection by

ensuring zero leakage of lubricant to atm osphere and total

exclusion of contam inants from the bearing housing. Lip

seals are prim arily designed to keep lubricants in, and are

not alw ays effective at keeping contam inants out. Surveys

have show n that even a tiny am ount of w ater or dirt in the

lubricant can drastically reduce bearing operating life.

Unique DesignThe ProTech bearing isolator is based on a sim ple, unitized, tw o-piece design

m anufactured in chem ically resistant PTFE. The ProTech range consists of

a com plete fam ily of com plem entary designs that provides outstanding

perform ance for virtually any application. A pplications w ith pressurized,

flooded, or sealed bearing housings can now benefit from ProTech Types

FS and FN , w hich feature an internal lip seal, again offering benefits of

zero leakage and zero entry of contam inants.

ApplicationsH igh-grade PTFE com posites in the construction of the standard ProTech range ensure a w ide

range of operating capabilities, including high and low tem perature and extrem e chem ical

environm ents. The use of alternative PTFE fillers extends the physical properties and capabilities

into such areas as food production and pharm aceuticals.

ProTech bearing isolators can norm ally

replace existing sealing devices, w ithout

m odification to the equipm ent. ProTech

w ill extend equipm ent operating life across

these industries:

•Chem ical Processing

•Pulp and Paper

•O il and G as

•M ining

•Food and Beverage

•Pharm aceuticals

•Pow er G eneration

•Steel and A lum inum M anufacturing

•Utilities

Features BenefitsTotal Exclusion of Contaminants Ensures longer bearing life.

from Bearing Housings

Zero Lubricant Leakage G reatly reduces required m aintenance

and environm ental pollution.

Unitized Two-Piece Design with Unique locking m echanism ensures com ponents

Positive Locking Mechanism cannot separate during installation or operation.

High Initial Axial Movement Capability Elim inates internal contact, a m ajor cause

of isolator problem s.

Manufactured from Engineered Accepted in all m ajor industries.

PTFE Composites PTFE is a low -friction, nonsparking m aterial,

w hich produces m inim al heat generation in

the unlikely event of contact (a claim not possible

w ith m etallic designs).

High chem ical resistance.

Manufactured to Suit Applications No m odifications required to rotating equipm ent

even w hen retrofitted.

Easy to Install No press or tools required, reducing the

possibility of dam age.
