In 1823 a Gilbert ball was used in the very first game of Rugby Football - 192 years later it will be a Gilbert ball which kicks off the Rugby World Cup 2015 in England.

Throughout the centuries, Gilbert has been trusted by the Rugby family world wide to produce quality products specifically designed to enhance the enjoyment of the game, for all that use them.

On 18th September 2015, the eyes of "World Rugby" will be fixed upon Twickenham stadium - eagerly awaiting the whistle which signifies the start of

the Rugby World Cup 2015, in England with a kick of the Gilbert MATCH-XV ball.

Aside from William Webb Ellis's decision to pick up his Gilbert ball and run with it at Rugby School, in 1823, the RWC 2015, will be the biggest, most significant event in the history of the sport.
