Intro to Australia

Australia is home to kangaroos and the most beautiful and exotic coral reefs. It is also one of the largest places for industries such as mining, food processing, and chemical production.

The Environment

From the Great Barrier Reef to the Tasmanian wilderness, Australia in total is 7.6 million square kilometers. Its climate generally semiarid, and tropical in some regions.

Government/Politics

Australia, like England, is a constitutional monarchy.

Their law system is based on English common law.

Australia’s leader is known as Prime Minister

Laws and Regulations(including Import Requirements)

When importing goods to Australia, it is law to label all products correctly.

Bill of lading is required on all freight shipments.

There are no special requirements for applying an import license, nor are there any quotas on imports.
