More than 150 Airbus planes have been modified to offer customers more bin space to expedite boarding and reduce the number of gate-checked bags. Bins on A319s and A320s have new latches and doors, nearly doubling each plane’s carry-on capacity. United has also installed Wi-Fi in all the Airbus planes.

London Heathrow’snew Terminal 2 United Club is pleasing Star Alliance passengers.
In 2014, United has taken delivery of 23 mainline planes including three 787s. Six new mainline planes were delivered in June, the busiest month for aircraft deliveries since 2010. This year United plans to take delivery of 29 737-900ERs and six 787s – including two 787-9s, the stretched version of the 787 Dreamliner.
Expanding United’s fleet
New 737-900ERs feature customer-friendly interiors with a larger sense of space, sculpted sidewall panels and LED lighting that mimics soft blue skies and sunset colors. All will have Wi-Fi and either personal device entertainment or DIRECTV.
New daily service between Seoul (ICN) and Guam (GUM) On October 26, United will begin flying between Guam and Seoul’s Incheon International Airport, offering Korean customers a variety of resort destinations such as Saipan, Palau, Honolulu and Cairns via United’s Guam hub.
Facilities include seating for 280 people, private phone rooms and a full service bar.

New choices on board Freshly prepared Choice Menu Bistro on Board selections are available for purchase on most flights over three-and-a-half hours within North America, to Latin America, and between Honolulu and Guam. Try the Asian-style noodle salad with sesame ginger dressing, a chicken wrap, a roast beef and cheddar baguette, or ham and Swiss cheese on a pretzel baguette. United now
offers Chicago’s Goose Island 312 Urban Wheat Ale craft beer on flights worldwide and at U.S. United Clubs.

New gates improve customer experience at Chicago (ORD)Three recently added gates in Terminal 2 help reduce congestion and the time aircraft spend on the ground waiting for an open gate during periods of heavy traffic.
These efforts are part of the ongoing investment at ORD, including jet bridges on all gates, a new Terminal 2 United Club and boarding areas with new gate room furniture, power and podiums.
Tarmac service provides chauffeured transportation for selectGlobal Services and United Global First customers with tight connections. The service is also available at Chicago (ORD), Houston (IAH), New York/Newark (EWR) and San Francisco (SFO).
