SPECIAL CHURCH CONFERENCE!• A special church conference is scheduled for Monday, August 25 at 8:10pm in the worship center at the 84th Street campus. At this meeting, we will vote on whether to launch our second multi-site campus in the fall of 2015. South Wyoming UMC has approved closing and giving their property and assets to Cornerstone. Everyone is welcome to attend and hear more about this project, Cornerstone members age 18 or older can vote.

• Prayer Requests are at the Resource Center at 84th and Guest Services at HH and online under our Recent Messages box at cornerstonemi.org

• Do you have a prayer request? Write it on a Welcome Card. It will be sent privately to the prayer team. If you’d like it put on the all-church prayer list, please let us know!

• Do you love to care for people? Stephen Ministry offers one-to-one Christian care for anyone going through a difficult time. Training will begin this fall and involves 20 weekly evening meetings. If you are interested, please pick up an application at Guest Services or request one from Mara in the office, [email protected]

• Are you going through a difficult time? We have well-trained Stephen Ministers ready to care for you! Please contact Mara in the office, [email protected] for more information.

• Dementia Support Group meets the third Monday of each month, 7:00pm. This group offers support and encouragement to anyone caring for a loved one with dementia. The next meeting is August 18.

• Here’s how we’re helping Campus Elementary students and their families get ready for school: Pick up a Cornerstone bag at the kiosk at 84th St.; at Heritage Hill, look for the poster in The Hub where a person will be there to help. Check out the list, go shopping for a brand new uniform, place your purchase in the Cornerstone bag and bring it back to church by August 18! There’s more info at cornerstonemi.org/uniform

• Degage Breakfast - Cornerstone prepares and serves breakfast at Degage Ministries in Grand Rapids the second Saturday each month. If you, your Life Group or family (kids 10+) would like to serve, the next available date is September 13th. It takes about 3 hours. Contact Thom at [email protected]
