2. Details of Infrastructure:

The campus is spread over 123.4 bighas surrounded by lush green hills. The environment

is ideally suited for learning. The institute is having 200 sqmtrs of administrative area and

2859 sqmtrs of academic area in which Degree, Diploma and ITI programs are running

smoothly. There is a facility of Girls hostel in the Campus.

*All the labs, workshops, computer center, ED hall and class rooms are well equipped with the appropriate equipments machinery and furniture as per the AICTE norms.

3. Affiliation along with the certificate(s) of Affiliation:

Approved annual intake in all the courses is 138 and affiliated to HP Takniki Shiksha Board, Dharmshala. All the courses are duly approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi. 5% seats over and above of sanctioned intake under tuition fees waiver scheme (TFW). 10% seats over and above of sanctioned intake are also being filled up under Lateral Entry System. The admissions to the polytechnic are made on merit basis of marks obtained in Polytechnic Admission Test (PAT) conducted by HP Takniki Shiksha Board

Dharmshala. Five seats in all disciplines are also kept reserved for Physically Disabled Candidates

under the scheme of Integrating Person with Disability by the MHRD, Govt. of India. Seats are also reserved for SC/ST/OBC/Sportsmen/Children of Ex-Servicemen and Freedom Fighters and the candidates from backward areas as per the State Government policy.

4. Details of Internship and Placement:

* Campus Placement: Being only Five years old institute we are striving hard to attract the companies from various fields. For past five years the companies like Secure net Technologies Mohali, Advanced Hardware Technologies Chandigarh has visited the institute. In the year 2014 the 16 students were placed through campus placement.

*As many as 46 students are placed through campus and off campus drives and all are doing well in their respective careers.

* Sports and cultural activities:

- The students of the ABVGIET Polytechnic Pragatinagar participated in inter-poly athletic and cultural meet held at Govt. Polytechnic Hamirpur from 10th to 12th April. - The trainees of this institute are time to time participating in the different events in the renowned institutions. - Engineers Day, Teachers Day and Environment Day is annually celebrated in the campus. - 2nd October celebrated as Swachhata Abhiyan - Programmes for the eradication of cannabis is also conducted in the campus from time to time.

* Campus Beautification:

About 2.5 kms boundary wall around the campus is being constructed at the institution level.

Around the campus about 260 trees has been planted in this rainy season.

* Teaching and learning Facilities: All Laboratory and Workshops are equipped with modern/latest equipments.

Library is well furnished and having more than 2770 books and 5 technical/non-technical magazine with 10 journals. Campus is having its own 4 Mbps Leased Line/Wi-fi facility in administrative, academic,

hostel and staff residences.
