Every day, low-carbonmobility is becoming a
little more embedded inour daily journeys. It formsa natural part of the calm and sustainable city while supporting development
for municipalities.
Transportation networks can increase their profi tability
while optimising the way theygather, analyse, structure,
and share data, from planningto operation, from design
to construction.
Effi cient and sustainable management of transport
infrastructures is a vitalchallenge set to intensify
for existing and new lines.Making the right investment
decisions at the right timeis essential to preserve
the value of assets.
Connected technology is accelerating the transition
towards on-demandservices and pay-per-use pricing to respond to new
expectations (MaaS).
Automation, already widely used in the metro, will
transform public transport, improving the safety, capacity
and reliability of services. Self-driving carriages and shuttles will become morewidespread. And why not fl ying taxis and drones?
New technologies and the digital transformation are accelerating openness and
the interconnection of systems making them more
vulnerable. This means having to revisit the usual scenarios
to implement the mostappropriate provisions.
Studies on new network routes allow decision-makers
to measure impacts of development projects, and to identify deposits
of land-related value. Mobility needs to be
understood within a moresystemic view enabling choice
assessment on the scale of a whole municipality.
