AST2 Hybrid Profiler Mooring PDR
Purpose of AST2 (From 3207-00003)
The purpose of the AST2 DT is two fold: 1.Assess and/or verify key technical aspects (i.e.,
requirements and design) of developmental items intended for production that would otherwise be difficult to accomplish outside an at-sea exercise; and
2.Execute and mature the engineering development, build and test processes on stationary platforms that represent the bulk of marine assets to be deployed for OOI prior to production.
