Tools Needed:

Phillips Screwdriver

7/16 Wrench

Rubber Mallet---Some joints are

machined to very close tolerances

and gentle tapping may be helpful

during assembly.

Note: Your dolly has been fully assembled prior to packaging and shipment to ensure

proper fit. The connection sleeves are machined to close tolerances to increase stability

of the joints. In some areas, the close tolerances may have produced scuff marks on the

invisible parts of the joints during preassembly.

1. Assemble the Axle Frame First: Locate the Axle Frame (C-15, Photo 1) and 2 Axle Spindles (Photos 1 & 2). The Axle Frame

is shipped with machine screws, shoulder washers, and nylon lock nuts installed in holes at

each end of the Axle Frame. The Axle Spindles are shipped in a separate Polybag.

On one end of the Axle Frame, remove the nut and shoulder washer from each 2” machine

screw. Remove both 2” screws and insert the end of the Axle Spindle into the Axle Frame so

the two holes of the Frame line up with the two holes in the Spindle (Photo 3). Replace

shoulder washer and nut on both 2” screws and tighten securely (Photo 4). Repeat on the

other end the Axle Frame. The 1” diameter Spindle should now protrude from each end of

the Axle Frame Assembly.

Align the Spindle with the axis of the Axle Frame and tighten both lock nuts securely using a

screwdriver and 7/16” wrench.

2. Attach the Sling Support Assembly:

The Axle Frame has a vertical stub (Photo 3) on each end to attach the Sling Support

Assembly (Photo 4). Slide each vertical support (C-16, Fig 1) on its respective stub as

shown in Photo 5. Be careful to correctly orient the slope of the bottom of the supports as

shown in Photo 5.

Align all the holes and insert the 2” machine screws and secure each with a stainless

washer and lock nut. (Photo 6) Tighten using a screw driver and 7/16” wrench.

3. Install the Aft Longitudinal Frame Parts

Lay the completed Axle Frame Assembly on a flat surface. (Photo 7)

Insert the Aft Longitudinal Section (C-12, Fig 1) over one of the stubs on the Axle Frame

Assembly as shown. (Photo 8) Repeat with the other Aft Longitudinal Section and remaining

stub. Secure the two Aft Longitudinal Frames to the Axle Frame Assembly with two 2” machine

screws, washers and nylon lock washers. (Photo 9)

4. Attach the Handle Frame Assembly to the Forward Longitudinal

Frame Parts.

5. Install the Keel Roller on the Forward Longitudinal Frame

While the Handle Frame Assembly and attached Forward Longitudinal Frame parts are in this

position, attach the Keel Roller.

Slide the 1/2” rod, 14 ½ in length, through the ½ “ hole in the middle of one of the Forward

Longitudinal Frames See Fig 1), through a 3 ¼” PVC spacer, the Keel roller, a second spacer

and then through the hole in the second Forward Longitudinal Frame. (Photos 13 & 14) Secure

the rod in place with cotter pins in each end of the rod.

6. Attaching the Forward and Aft Longitudinal Assemblies

Lift the Forward Longitudinal Frame (C-8, Fig 1) with the attached Handle Assembly and slide

the Forward Longitudinal Frame over the stub on the Aft Longitudinal Frame (C-12, Fig1) until

the two longitudinal frames meet and the holes are in line. (Photo 15 & 16) Secure with a 2” bolt,

washer, and nylon lock washer through the hole in the Longitudinal Frames (Photo 16)

7. Attach the Wheels to the Axle Frame: On one end of the Axle Frame, place a stainless steel washer on the spindle, insert the spindle

through the hole in the wheel hub (Photo 17) and secure the wheel in place with a cotter pin

inserted through the small hole at the end of the spindle. (Photo 18) The wheel air valve stem

should be on the outside of the dolly.
