Company.WHEN. Nel 1987 a civita castellana nasce artceram. WHAT. L’attività inizia con la produzione di lavabi per il mercatodei mobilieri del settore bagno per poi svilupparsi, nel 2000, con la creazione di un'identità propria attraverso lacollaborazione di designers internazionali. Nel corso degli anni, la specializzazione porta l’azienda ad orientarsi versoaltri elementi tipici dell’area bagno. L’evoluzione strategica si ha nel 2006 con la collezione la fontana che prevedeper la prima volta una linea completa di sanitari ed elementi d’arredo con colonne-lavabo. WHEN. In 1987 artceram began its activity in civita castellana. WHAT. At the beginning the company focused on the production of basins for the bathroom furnishing industry. In 2000 artceram developed its own brand identity through the collaboration of international designers. along these years the company, achieving more and more specialization, began the production of new furnishing elements for the bathroom. The strategic evolution occurs in 2006 with the brand new collection la fontana featuring a complete collection of sanitaryware and furnishing pieces such as a column-basin structure.

Showroom.Il nuovo showroom artceram occupa gli spazi di una chiesa costruita nel 1577 dai frati cappuccini; un luogo suggestivoe adiacente agli stabilimenti artceram, dove coesistono in un equilibrio perfetto la tradizione e l’innovazione, la storia di civita castellana e la sperimentazione nella produzione ceramica. Da chiesa a distaccamento degli allievi ufficialinel 1882, fino a trasformarsi in una fabbrica di sanitari nel 900. nel 2004, una profonda opera di restauro fa rivivere questi spazi storici che artceram utilizza per raccontare le proprie collezioni e la propria storia. The new showroom projected by artceram is based in a church built in 1577 by cappuccini friars; a charming place next to the company where tradidion and innovation as well as the history of civita castellana and the experiece in the production of ceramics mingle together in a perfect balance. From church to distaccamento degli allievi ufficiali in 1882 till the turning into a factory producing sanitaryware in 1900.in 2004 after a deep restoration the churh returns to life and artceram decides to use this space in order to present its collection and tell about its history.

Wave.Wave è un sistema che contiene lavabo, rubinetteria, specchio ed armadietto in uno spazio decisamente contenuto. Un’unica fascia larga 50 cm nasce amuro, si modula armonicamente nella parte centrale per creare un bacino fluido, sale parallelamente alla parete integrandosi con lo specchio. La morbidezzadel lavabo è esaltata dal materiale bianco opacoche trasmette una sensazione di soft touch. Wave èrealizzata in KORAKRIL™: un materiale costituito con una miscela di resine acriliche e minerali naturali. E’ resistente, igienico, antistatico, inalterabile alla luce e resistente alle macchie.The Wave system is comprised of a washbasin, taps and fittings, mirror and cabinet all contained within a very small space. A single 50 cm wide strip develops from the wall, harmoniously modulating the central part to create a fluid basin, then moving in parallel up the wall to become integrated with the mirror. The softness of the washbasin is exalted by the opaque white material that transmits a “soft touch” feel. Wave is made using KORAKRIL™: a material consisting of a mixture of acrylic resins and natural minerals. It is sturdy, hygienic, static-proof, resistant to light and staining.

Hall.Hall: non un lavabo centrostanza, ma una reinterpretazione del lavabo a colonna. Nel proprio ventre un foro morbido e sinuoso scalfisce lamatericità della ceramica, violata e risucchiata al proprio interno come una grossa goccia d’acqua che si infrange su di una superficie. Hall si appoggia amuro nascondendo i flessibili dell’acqua e lo scaricoe mantenendo così una perfetta pulizia formale.Hall: is not a freestanding washbasin, but a reinterpretation of the basin to the column. In its belly a soft, sinuous hole scratch the materiality of ceramics, violated and sucked their numbers as a big drop of water that breaks on a surface. Hall relies on hiding the flexible wall and the discharge of water and so keeping a clean form.

Sharp nasce come elemento architettonico, una colonna estrusa, messa in torsione e sfaccettata. È un progetto formalmente rigoroso, freddo e tagliente. La rotazione del catino rispetto alla base crea una rete di punti attraverso i quali vengono costruite le otto superfici triangolari che compongono la struttura. Sharp puòessere utilizzato sia free-standing, con scarico a terra che appoggiato a parete, con scarico a muro. Il lavaboè infatti studiato in modo tale che la sfaccettatura posteriore sia complanare alla parete, consentendo così ilperfetto accoppiamento lavabo-parete. La vasca completa le sfaccettature delle pareti, facendole convogliareverso lo scarico dell’acqua. Sharp è realizzato in icetek light.Sharp was born as an architectural element, an extruded column, put in a twist and multifaceted. It is a formally rigorous, cold and sharp. The rotation of the basin from the base creates a network of points through which they are constructed the eight triangular surfaces that compose the structure. Sharp may be used free-standing, with discharge on the ground and leaning against the wall, with drain outlet. The sink is designed so that the rear facet is complanare wall, thereby allowing the perfect-sink coupling wall. The tub completes the facets of the walls, making channel to the discharge of water. Sharp has achieved in icetek light.

Jazz.Sintesi tra tradizione e contemporaneo, tra linee morbide e segni decisi, la collezione Jazz interpreta sanitari e lavabi d’arredamento che occupano lo spazio abitativo occhieggiando agli elementi degli anni ’60 - il lavabo a colonna -ai tagli diamante dell’art decò, alla leggerezza minimal dei sanitari sospesi di ultima generazione. Fortemente contrastati dalle ombre dei tagli e dai bianchi e neri, gli elementi e gli ambienti rimandano alle atmosfere evocate.Con questo fortunato mix, Art Ceram propone una visione contemporanea del bagno, ricca di stratificazioni emolteplicità. Il lavabo centro stanza è in icetek.A compendium of the traditional and the contemporary, soft lines and strong signs: the Jazz collection interprets sanitaryware and washbasins with an eye on the Sixties– the column washbasin – the diamond shapes of art deco, the minimal lightness of last generation suspended sanitaryware. The elements and ambients are filled with references to the atmospheres evoked, strongly contrasted by the shadows of the shapes and the blacks / whites. This exciting mixture makes it possible for Art Ceram to propose a contemporary vision of the bathroom which is multi-layered and filled with variety. The collection includes ceramic elements, a column washbasin in two sizes (60 and 70 cm), a freestanding washbasin, suspended and floor-mounted sanitaryware, a one-piece toilet bowl and a central room washbasin in IceTek.

Blend.Una collezione completa di lavabi e sanitari animati da una fascia in ceramica che avvolge le superfici. Un prodotto contemporaneamente dinamico e rilassante, femminile e maschile, freddo e caldo come l’acquache scorre. Blend è una fascia di 4 centimetri che descrive la mappa superiore e divide due elementi distinti del sanitario: il catino e le fiancate. Un movimento sinuoso che nasce e muore a parete e accoglie al propriointerno il catino e il piano della rubinetteria, uniti da una superficie continua ed armonica. Le fiancate sonocomposte da superfici morbide e avvolgenti che delimitano il sanitario seguendo il movimento della fasciasuperiore. Le superfici dolci delle fiancate vengono segnate da un taglio deciso nella parte inferiore, checonferisce vigore e mascolinità al prodotto e nel contempo lo alleggerisce e lo slancia. Blend sanitaryware range is designed to be soft and light, shaped on the human body: is dynamic and relaxing, feminine and masculine at the same time, cold and hot like water flowing. Blend: ‘A surface added to two or more other surfaces to provide a continuous join between them’. The icon that best represents the blend project is the 4-centimeter band that describes the upper map and splits two distinct elements of the fixture: the bowl and the sides. A sinuous movement beginning and ending at the wall and enclosing the bowl and the taps and fittings, ‘blended’ by an unbroken, harmonious surface. The sides are gently curving and enveloping surfaces that delimit the fixture, following the rhythm set by the upper band.

La collezione Postit è caratterizzata dal materiale, la ceramica, e dal mimentismo delle linee con le pareti: una parte dell’accessorio sembra infatti scomparire nel muro lasciando la sensazione che sia incassata al suo interno.Gli accessori non sono più oramai un semplice complemento “accessorio” da aggiungere alla fine, ma sempre più sono parte integrante del progetto, inglobati perfettamente con la struttura architettonica del bagno. Postit si integraperfettamente con l’architettura della stanza, diventandone estensione nello spazio, ma contemporaneamente si monta come un normale accessorio senza interventi nella struttura muraria. Inoltre è una linea finalmente realizzatain ceramica, cioè con lo stesso materiale comunemente utilizzato per gli altri elementi di arredo bagno.The collection is characterized by material, ceramics, and mimecry line with the wall: one part accessory seems to disappear into the wall leaving the impression that it is recessed inside. The accessories are not now a simple addition “incidental” to be added at the end, but more and more are part of the project, incorporated seamlessly with the architectural structure of the bath. L’innovazione estetica e funzionale èil focus del progetto, insieme alla volontà di fornire un sistema autosufficiente, adatto sia per lo spaziopubblico che privato, libero dagli stereotipi del classico arredo bagno contemporaneo.La Fontana is a complete contained space bathroom system which includes in itself all that is usually made of four distinct items. It consists of washbasin, lighting, mirror and cabinet. Typological and aesthetical innovation is the focus of the project, together with the aim of supplying a complete service suitable both for public and private spaces, functional and pleasing and free from the classic stereotypes of the contemporary bathroom furnishing.

Sanitaryware.La nuova generazione di back to wall ha esaltato le pareti dei sanitari dimenticando tutto quello che si trova al suointerno. La Fontana vaso e bidet va oltre introducendo la possibilità di accesso sotto i sanitari per mezzo delleante laterali. Questo processo non solo ci permette di utilizzare spazi mai usati e preziosi nella vita domestica, maconsente di accedere alle tubature senza la rimozione del sanitario, cosa che non accade con i normali back to wall.The new generation of back to wall sanitaryware has highlighted the lateral walls, forgetting all that we find inside it. La Fontana sanitaryware goes beyond giving the possibility to access under the sanitaryware through the lateral doors. This process not only allows us to use space ever used in our bathrooms, but permits us to reach the pipes without removing the sanitary, contrary to the classic back to wall.

Carlo Urbinati.Carlo Urbinati (Roma, 1949) architetto e designer, ha frequentato la facoltà di architettura seguendo anche un corso di arredamento e scenografia. Nel 1972 inizia l’attività di product designer collaborando, sia autonoma-mente che unito allo studio lenci, con aziende italiane nel settore del mobile, dell’imbottito, dell’illuminazione,del bagno e della cucina. Carlo Urbinati (Rome, 1949) architect and designer, attended the faculty of architecture and also a course of interior design and scenography. In 1972 started his activity in product design, working alone and together with studio lenci, for italian manufactures of furniture, lighting, bathroom and kitchen.

Design.«Con design si indica l’insieme delle attività di ricerca, ideazione e progettazione, finalizzate alla realizzazione di un qualsiasi prodotto, sia materiale che immateriale. La parola, solitamente utilizzata come abbreviazione del termine anglosassone industrial design (disegno industriale), può essere tradotta più correttamente con l’espressione “progettazione per la produzione industriale”». Meneghello Paolelli.Sandro Meneghello e Marco Paolelli, entrambi classe 1979, si sono laureati al Politecnico di Milano nel 2004, sotto la guida di P. Rizzatto e R. Palomba. Collaborano con l’Artceram dal 2005 e la loro attività all’interno dell’azienda spazia dalla progettazione del prodotto alla sua comunicazione, nonché all’ideazione di stand perle fiere e di corner espositivi. Sandro Meneghello and Marco Paolelli, both born in 1979, graduated at the Politecnico di Milano, under the guidance of P. Rizzatto and R. Palomba. since 2005 they have collaborated with Artceram, their work with the company ranges from product design and communication, to stand design and in-store display.
