About AMI
Arnold Machine Inc. is a full service engineering and manufacturing company for automated equipment, tooling, machined, and fabricated components.
The company was founded in 1994 and is located in northwest Ohio. Our facility in Tiffin, OH is 33,000 square feet, and is equipped with engineering, CNC machining, laser cutting, CNC forming, fabrication, electrical and mechanical assembly services on site. We manufacture the high lifts completely in house.
Operation
The lifts are designed to lift at the wheels with forks positioned on each side of the tire. The fork width is adjustable.
The recommended method is to use two or four lifts at a time to raise the entire car or the front or the back. Just like a pump jack it is necessary to place jack stands under the car before going underneath.
The lifts are operated by a 3 position control valve mounted on the side of the unit. It requires someone to man each lift when raising or lowering a car.
The lifts are positioned by a tilting back on the wheels and moving it like a 2 wheel dolly.
Standard Models
The high lifts are offered in 3 lifting weigh capacities and 2 lift heights, 18” and 24”.
Capacities are rated by lifting power of each lift at 80PSI of incoming air pressure.
600lb Capacity - Well suited for formula cars, small prototypes and sports racers.
1,000lb Capacity – Our best selling lift; works for almost any race car.
1,500lb Capacity – Works great for heavier race cars and most street cars.
Remote Control
The remote control option replaces the manual control valve with an electronic version and remote key fob for operation.
The option enables one person to operate up to four lifts simultaneously.
The option is available on new lifts and as an upgrade kit for existing lifts.
The upgrade kit includes everything shown to the right and is a simple bolt on installation.

Roller Base
The roller base option replaces the solid flat base and rear wheels with 4 swivel casters.
The casters enable the lifts to be moved with or without a load, enabling a car to be easily moved around the shop.
This option is available on new lifts and as an upgrade kit for existing units.
The base height is increased with this option and may not work with some lower cars. Check the dimensions on the right before ordering.
How long do they take to get? – While we stock some lifts, they can take up to 8 weeks to manufacture.
How much do they weigh? – Each lift ranges in weight from 80 to 120lbs. The 1,000lb x 24” is exactly 100lbs.
How are they built? – The lifts are primarily machined from anodized aluminum.
What maintenance is required? – We recommend light air tool oil in the air inlet periodically and occasional grease in the lift plate bearings. We offer an off season re-fresh where we dis-assemble, clean, and replace parts as necessary.
