    Introduction

    IntroductionFeatures

    Plays back DVD Folder, VCD, MPEG1, MPEG2, Xvid(AVI) movie files, MP3, WAV musicfiles, JPEG photo and graphic files.

    Supports both NTFS and FAT32 f ile system.Supports both NTSC and PAL TV systems.Supports video output up-scaling to 1080i.Supports HDMI and component video output.Supports Music Slideshow

    This device is not for in-car entertainment use. Unstable power or vibration maydamage this device.

    Do not use an AC adapter other than the one came along with the retailpackage; Any damage caused by unauthorized adapters will avoid warranty.

    Always check that files have been copied to the device successfully. Alwayskeep two copies of important files (an original and a backup). We are not

    responsible for data loss or damage during file transfer or while store on the

    device.

    Moving the hard disk while it is still in operation may damage the hard disk. Weare not liable for any data loss or damage caused by inappropriate or careless

    use.

    It is recommended to unplug the unit from the power socket completely whennot in use.

    TV screen does not display normally:

    Hold and then press MENU repeatedly until the screen displays correctly.(See page 37 for more detail).

    The Remote Control

    The Remote ControlRemoving and Storing the Remote Control

    This device is designed with a remote control storage compartment at the bottom. You can

    store the remote control in the compartment to avoid misplacing.

    Using the Remote Control for the First TimeFor the first time use of the remote control, pull out the tab

    to enable the battery power of the remote control.

    Changing the Battery of Remote

    ControlIf the battery becomes depleted, change the battery

    according to the following instructions:

    Turn the remote control on its back, and then press thetab on the left side with fingernailn. Hold and pull at the

    indentationo to take out the battery unit.

    The battery model of this remote control is CR2025. Refer to the illustration below to

    insert the battery accurately with the positive terminal facing up see illustration below.

    Place the new battery and make sure it is inserted and seated securely.

    It is recommended to write down the part number on the back of the remote. You can use it

    to purchase a new remote from our dealer if the remote is missing.

    Storing the Remote Controlp: With the buttons facing up, insert the

    top of remote and push it forward.

    q: Push down the bottom of the remoteto fix it.

    Removing the RemoteControln: Push the bottom edge of the remote

    forward.

    o: The remote will be released from thestand.

    16 AB: Repeat from A to B

    17 REPEAT: Change the play mode

    18 ZOOM: Enlarge image

    19 SLOW: Slow motion playback

    20 0~9: Number pad

    21 VOL+: Volume up

    22 VOL-: Volume down

    1 Power and access

    indicator (blue) :

    Lights up: The power is on.

    Blinking: Booting up/ Accessing data through PC connection.

    2 Remote indicator

    (orange) :

    Blinks 1 time: Received a remote control signal.

    Blinks 3 times: Cannot initiate media player function. Please

    check and make sure this device is not connected to a PC.

    3 Remote receiver : When using the remote, point the remote towards here.

    4 Power switch : Press this button to turn on this device. Press this button for

    about 1 second to turn it off.

    5 USB 2.0 connector : When using USB connection, connect the cable here.

    6 HDMI connector : Outputs digital video/audio signals with a HDMI cable. (cable

    not provided)

    7 Composite audio/videooutput connector :

    Outputs composite video/audio signals with a special cableprovided. The colors of the jacks are yellow, red and white.

    8 Component video output

    connector :

    Outputs component video signals with a special cable provided.

    The colors of the jacks are green, blue and red.

    9 Power connector : Connect to the AC adapter. (DC 12V, 2A)

    10 Coaxial digital audio

    connector :

    Outputs S/PDIF digital audio signal. Connect this jack to an AV

    receiver with a RCA cable. (cable not provided)

    11 SCART video output

    connector:

    Outputs video/audio signal for European AV equipments
