Requirements for Mandates
• Metadata as soon as paper is accepted for publication
• Peer reviewed full text (accepted version/post print) within 12 months from the publication date
ARC policy applies to:• All ARC grants awarded after January
1, 2013• Applies to all types of publications
NHMRC policy applies to:• Publications published after July 1,
2012 regardless of the start date of the relevant grant
• Only peer reviewed journal articles
Compliance- who is responsible?
Chief Investigator• For metadata• Accepted version/post print of
the manuscript
Institution repository for housing the open access version
What is required from you…
New PublicationsEmail [email protected] advising you have a publication to submit relating to a grant and a Library staff member will be in touch.
Existing publicationsA Library staff member will be in touch to gather the information and materials required for mandate compliance OR email [email protected] advising you have an existing publication relating to a grant
Your publications can be searchable from Trove and GS- thus increasing the visibility
