About AquaNetHairspray was first introduced in the late 1940’s when the beauty industry realized that the aerosol cans which were being used in WWII for insecticides could be used as a dispenser for hairspray. Demand was high through the beehives of the 1950’s and 60’s, until the first “flower child” came in the 1970’s and brought attention to the CFOs found in hairspray, which were harmful to the environment.

Eventually, regulations were adapted and CFOs were removed. The 80’s introduced a new pastime of “Who could get their hair the highest?” There were experiments of all sorts; frizzy bangs, mullets, funky side pony tails, and funky pompadours. Hair was all about achieving that great length and volume. And the one bottle everyone knew and trusted was AQUA NET, It had increasingly become one of the leading hairsprays.

Since then it has remained a slow commodity with the decline of outrageous hairstyle obsessions and growth of the age generation.

“gentlemen” into a new generation for AQUA NET.

AQUA NET has found its new generational home, with each of the four bottles pertaining to an individualistic style for every gentlemen out there. The classic greaser bad boy, has grown up and become the young rugged business man that his mind had been chasing since the moment he finished spraying his slick but volumized hair in front of that mirror every morning.

Much of this style and culture holds its base on looking like a rugged male but with fined tuned hair. Or the young adult who is clean cut with professional attire who rocks the daring military slick undercut and Presley pompadour.
