Dear supporting churches and praying friends,

With the coming of spring and warmer weather brings a busier schedule for most, and we are not an exception! We praise the Lord for a full schedule during the months of April and May. One of the highlights of the past couple of months was the chance to present our ministry to Faith Baptist Church in Hamilton, ON where my wife and I spent our first year of marriage interning and serving in the ministry. It was great to spend time visiting old friends who have become more like “family”, as well as to become part of their missions family.

A Growing Team We are so excited to announce that another family will be joining Team Indonesia! Brandon and Kristen Kelley and their four sweet daughters are our newest team members and will officially begin deputation this summer. We praise Him for this new addition to our team as we all follow the Lord’s calling to make an eternal impact for Christ in Bandung, Indonesia. A Growing Ministry After much prayer, the Lord has led our team to begin searching for a building to use as our new ministry centre in Bandung. We have found a few options with enough space and in ideal locations, and are currently in the process of negotiating prices. In the future, Team Indonesia will be able to collectively fund the operating expenses. But as of now, we are looking to raise $50,000 US to cover the initial costs of starting up this new ministry: specifically, $30,000 for rent costs and $20,000 for renovations, furnishings and set up. As we’ve previously mentioned in our presentation video, this ministry centre will be used as a multi-purpose building to house our church, Bible institute as well as for various public events and classes designed for outreach. Grateful for our Great Physician The past couple of months have brought some physical trials on our team. Our team mate Phil Lien and two of his children battled dengue fever on the field . We praise the Lord for His protection and healing as their condition did not worsen and they eventually recovered after some time of rest. Then during the last week of May, Kalel had begun to feel unwell. After a day or two, we noticed spots beginning to appear all over his body and in his mouth. This came just in time for us to leave home for a month of meetings! We praise the Lord for friends we've made during deputation in the Chattanooga, TN area who recommended a great pediatrician. The doctor diagnosed it as hand-foot-and-mouth, which Kalel ended up battling for about a week. The Lord has since healed his body and immune system. We want to thank you for your continual prayers for our family’s health and safety and cannot stress enough how much we need your prayers to do what God has called us to do!
