Hello everyone. First we would like to welcome Ellasandra, Bryce, Luke and Bobbie-Leigh to the Toddlers room. During March we have done lots of counting from 1 to 10. We have done this in songs and

counting objects in the room. The toddlers favourite was the counting cans where we counted the food in each can from 1 to 10. The children have done different art activities like stampings, brush paintings and sticker art. We have also used many different threading toys that the children really seemed to enjoy. The sound puzzles from the Babies room were fun as they make sounds when

they put the pieces in. Outside the children have been busy having tea parties in the sandpit and playing follow the leader around the playground. Please remember to check your child’s bags as we have had instances of biscuits, plastic bags and other foods in there. As the children have access to these bags we ask that you please help us in maintaining them. Just a reminder to please pack a hat and spare clothes each day. If you have any questions please feel free to see one of us. Annette, Debbie and Sara.

Toddlers Room

Hello to all. Well the year is certainly flying by with us celebrating Easter this month. As usual the Kindy children will be partaking in a range of Easter activities including our annual Easter Bonnet parade.

The children will be making their bonnets at Kindy and this year we have a special treat with the Easter Bunny making a personal appearance. Our children have been very busy with their creative artwork. I am sure you will agree that their display in our room is truly beautiful. Have you noticed our Rainbow? The children continually request the Sing a Rainbow song so we decided to extend upon it and make our own. It took many days of painting and hopefully we

will all find our pot of gold at the end of it. We have added hospital dress ups to our home corner area last week. The children participated in a range of role play with many being doctors and nurses and lots of patients. Thankfully everyone made a complete recovery. Our goal at present is to encourage the children to help pack away. Many of them decide that this is the best time to use the toilet or hide. Occasionally the children may arrive home with a special surprise for helping their friends pack up. Please remember to check your child’s bags for unwanted items and to make sure they have a sufficient amount of spare clothes available. Wishing you all a happy, relaxing and safe Easter break. Lyn and Karen.

Kindy Room

Hello everyone. Another month has gone by. I would like to say thank you to everyone who helped in our Babies room while Ashleigh has been sick. I am sure all the Babies missed her and are very happy to

have her back. We have had a few highlights over the last month and some being very simple experiences that the children have enjoyed the most. Playing behind vertically hanging sheets was a favourite which brought many possibilities. Painting and exploring with art is always a big hit in our room. We have been doing cotton bud, finger and glitter painting. Throwing, catching

and rolling balls have also been a favourite pastime of the children too. We have had 3 new children start in our room so we say welcome to Lilli, Emmy, Zander and their families. We have an open door policy so please feel free to visit any time. Some general housekeeping reminders: All belongings (bottles, dummies, cups, clothes, hats) to be named Dummies and drinking cups have lids and covers If your child needs nappy cream please provide it. Please remember to let us know if there has been any changes to your child’s routine, foods,

Hello everyone. This month we have been focussing on our social skills, turn taking and gross motor skills by playing lots of different ball games such as soccer, handball and piggy in the middle. Some of the children have also been keen to play

the hopscotch game that we drew with chalk on the verandah. Mini golf was another very popular game where all of the Preschooler and Kindy children also wanted to play. There have been children buried up to their waists in the sandpit along with sand angels being made. Please remember that with Easter only a few weeks away to book in if you are in need of care for the school holidays. Thanks Sara and Martin.

Schoolies

Well hello again. Those preschoolers have certainly kept us on our toes during March. Not only did we have the restaurant, with some fabulous days of cooking but we have been busy making

funnels and having water play. There have been doctors making sure that their patients are healthy, Mums and Dads busy cleaning the house, cooking dinners and looking after the children. We have had parties, tooth fairies and monsters. Preschoolers have gone on camping trips, explored space and oceans and built large cities and aliens. They have manipulated with their fine motor skills having a turn at activities like playdough, threading and Mr Potato Head. By far the most popular activity in the preschool room this month has been the puzzles though. Everyday the preschoolers are taking out puzzles to either do individually or in groups and they are so excited and proud when they finish them. We keep having to find harder ones for them to do. Some of the preschoolers have even resorted to doing them upside down for a challenge! We look forward to next month to see what exciting adventures they take us on next! Please remember if you ever have any questions, concerns or suggestions about the room or program please come and see us. Wishing you all a safe and happy Easter Claire, Lesley and Dorothy.
