SRI LANKA:Care & Community

SAMOA:Care & Community

WHAT WOULD I DO?

Living and working in small coastal towns in Sri Lanka’s south-west, you will split your time between painting and renovating local schools and community centres, assisting with the care and education of disadvantaged children in kindergartens, and running healthcare campaigns and outreach work in the wider community.

You will also have the opportunity to explore the local sites of Colombo, and take a weekend trip to the sacred city of Kandy.

The mix of work will allow you to discover the unique culture and customs of Sri Lanka while contributing to important development initiatives in the country.

WHAT WOULD I DO?

Working in schools and kindergartens you will help with lessons in the classroom, running creative educational activities and organising sports and games. This will give you a real chance to connect with the children and add some lively activities to the school day. You will also work on environmental campaigns in small villages

and communities in and around Apia.

Your weekends will be spent discovering the pristine coastline and waterholes of this beautiful country. These programmes take you out into the heart of the Samoan community where a warm welcome awaits.
